View Full Version : Lets give Goonther the finger!!!!

After seeing the finger from Goonther I remembered that Jake got a fine for doing the same thing. I say that we start E-mail drive to get Goonther fined. Because if he doesn't it just adds to the NFL conspiracy that they hate us. Here is the e-mail of the NFL http://www.nfl.com/help/emailtech.

Here's for the Chefs http://www.kcchiefs.com/contact/

Your telling me he didn't get fined?

A coach flipping the finger is worse than a player doing it! And Jake just flipped off some hecklers in the stands...Goonther flipped off a ref I think...

Plus, a coach is in a position of responsibility and character greater than that of a player...way greater...there are leaders and followers, but a coach traditionally is a leader, the player the follower...

A coach flipping off a ref is a 75K fine IMO...

Of course not...they let us vacation in Miami when the turf was 120F, sent us to KC in December for the umpteenth time, and now we get to travel to Titonka in late December when it's just balmy....

Our schedule has been rediculous...luckilly, NE and Philly were down...

Or how about the fast they feed us the line of crap that they fear it MIGHT be cold in a state that averages 300 days of sun shine. Then send Detroit SB 40 in the middle of winter. And lets not forget that downtown Detroit looks more like Fallujah than and actual city.

I agree to a certain extent. But Manning also has a cake division. Some of the toughest games on our schedules are playing each other in the AFC West.

You think we got screwed, look at what they threw Houston. Especially the 1st part of the year. A pretty tough schedule considering they were one of the worst teams in the league.

As I read thei, the mullets once again show up as low class sh*teating hypocrits. When Plummer gave out th efinger, the mullets on the planet and their other pig stys all called for some major wrist slapping on him. Derision and ridicule was heaped as high as those stupid mutherfockers could reach. (Two or three feet since they are all mental and physical stunted midgets.) Now their boy gets caught, and any negative comment is equated with whining. These people are absolutely worthless and contribute nothing to society and should be banned from this board for the next three months.

What a bunch of A$$holes.

Paladin, if Gunther flipped off the fans, we'd be all over his ass just the same.

The fact of the matter is, we were all right there flipping off the ref with him. So it's a horrible comparison.

The usual fan base posturing aside, I'm surprised he didn't get fined especially considering it was on national TV and he flipped off an official. That seems kind of serious - relatively speaking, of course.

that's kinda my thinking

If a coach flips off the ref and TV catches it, I can't imagine someone not getting fined for that

The fact of the matter is that a professional on the sidelines used an obscene gesture towards another person not on their team and not in good humor. It doesn't matter if you are a coach, QB or cheerleader, your conduct on the field/sidelines is what is at hand here, not the target.

So saying the refs blew that game for you in a interview gets you fined but flipping them off and getting caught on TV doing it is ok? I don't understand how the NFL could back a drunk heckler but not a employee.

What's funny is that it was a rightous call. Calling the refs out in a press converence over a blown call seems somewhat justified. Though I see why the league wants to prevent it.

Do you know how often Tony Gonzalez gets raped like that and they never call it?

Christ, the Cowboys were holding our defensive end on that play AND the previous play. Both were brutally blatant.

So it's OK for Dallas to hold but not KC? No, I doubt Gunther was mad at the linebacker.

Why do I feel like I just woke up in the gutter...oh wait...I did...god, we had YET ANOTHER snowstorm and this one was wet and I must of moved a full ton off snow off my shovel...The snow pile has reached 5 feet now next to the driveway...my little christmas trees are about covered...I have a cute row of them with an Angel at the end, and they have just about been swallowed up...about every 5 years we get a hard winter up here.

Regarding the bird, I stand by my earlier statement, but it's noted he has to display it properly...Jake's bird was funny, but if they don't fine Goony Bird, I have no clue what the NFL has come to...Shanny can get fined for questioning a call at a press conference and get fined, but Gooney Bird can go scott free?

I'm not a fan of fining a little emotion, but flipping off a ref deserves a fine, no question in my mind whatsoever...even if it was a bad call...

Hahahahaha...I loved when that happened. I was really hoping Dallas would let KC get ever so close to winning, only to shut the door and the last moment.

IMO, it's harder to take a close loss than a blowout because there are so many "if we did ____, we win" situations, and I know the Chiefs fans are going through that now.

Ya.. Hell most of the schedule (albeit not the dates) are the divisional games (6) and the NFC east games (4) which are on a rotation. Oh.. btw.. those are by far the two best divisions in football.

The fact that the NFL "hates" Denver shows in the way they got the bye week (again) exactly in the middle of the season.

The Broncos schedule is tough.. but most of it has more to do with the fact that the NFL wants to SHOWCASE the Broncos.. if you didn't notice the Broncos are playing exclusively on Saturdays for the rest of the season. I beleive those are all full auidience nationally televised games.

I was at the MNF game Oakland @ Denver...Denver had the game salted after one quarter and Reeved went into his turtle mode for three quarters while we were kinda just kickin back...

It was some of the worst coaching I have ever seen in my life...

Then Reeves goes to OT and expects Elway to pull a win out of his ass yet again...problem was, the guy on the sideline was Shanahan...

It was just like Callahan against Gruden a decade or two later...Shananan guessed the play perfectly, it was picked, and I had to listen to Orcs chanting as I left so mad at Reeves I was beside myself....I'm still pissed about that game...I was totally pissed off to the point of having to be left alone...

I also think it was the official start of the Reeves/Elway showdown...we know how that ended...Reeves out...Shanahan back in...

I can't describe how pissed off I was...

Anyway, that is when Elway gave Shanahan the finger...

I usually don't look for an excuse and I don't think it's a big deal, BUT there is some truth to the NFL playing favorites. Every league does it. It's dangerous territory to get into. Although, I think the NFL is good at creating an even level playing field. The NBA is probably the worst, MLB is bad too.

Now if you wanted the LEAST liked teams by the NFL:

1) Raiders
2) Redskins
3) a few teams tie for this spot (including the Broncos)

I don't know why the Broncos always seem to go to arrowhead in december or the whole HOF thing, but everyone knows about the Raiders and Redskins. The NFL can't stand the owners of those teams.

I think your right in terms of how fans might preceive thosae teams. But I'm speaking from the stand point of promotion. Here's an example. Earlier this season the NFL network showed a series of ads featuring Faiders from the past and the present like Warren Sapp and Todd Christiansen in s Sci-Fi setting. It wasn't until the third ad that the Broncos were mentioned. Then when we make our appearence its this crappy nano-bug looking thing with our logo on it.
