Well, some of them still think so.

And on a side note, you will notice that they banned me over there for that first post of mine. So I say that all the little KC fan fags over here, ie. Bob, Zach and whoever else posts over there aswell, just need to be banned from here. If those guys are going to ban fans from other teams for that type of post, then they don't deserve to be posting on this board. I'm sure nobody will miss those idiots any damn way.

Where's crazyhorse? I want to ask him what he thinks about DB's that get caught looking in the backfield.

Bailey is tied with O'Neal for NFL lead in interceptions with 8. Has 5 straight games with a pick. Playing very good football.

Who cares about CP, its the crappiest looking board with the crappiest fans in the NFL bar none.

Champ gets his hands on a ball and it's his... I don't think he's dropped a pick this year!

By Surtain do you mean Patrick "dropping the game winning INT" Surtain?
Bailey has what, 7 or 8 picks now on the season. That's out of this world.
But Mullet Fan is right, (as always), their guy is better, he wears on the Mustard and Ketchup after all. Pfft, 7 INTs are meaningless.

C'mon, that poll is from April you'd expect them to vote that way after just acquiring the guy

He had a dropped ball against the raiders this year if I remember correctly but he did make up for it! :~ohyah!:

This is a classic.
Yeah I believe he is. Champ gets caught out of position more than Surtain IMO. Surtain shuts his man down. He just flat out dropped that game winning pick today. I've seen Champ do that before..
Surtain and shut down? ROFL!

Surtain also got burned by Glenn for a 71 yard TD, on top of dropping a sure INT.
And Champ ran his total to 8 INT's on the season today. Hes now got an INT in 5 straight games.

Well I wasn't posting it because of the poll per-say, it was that the two that bothered to post still think Surtain is better. Surtain shuts his man down, and Champ is out of position.

I've never really looked at the Chiefs Planet until the board went down today....
On the front page there where like 20 threads about some spare from KC winning survivor... very little about actual football.
That's all I needed to see...

it's not really an arguement anymore so much as it is Chiefs fans REALLY searching for something to compare..
They cant compare records, they can't even say with a straight face that they still got a shot in the West. In fact i can't wait to turn on the "Mighty" 1090 here in San Diego tomorrow and listen to them whine and cry about close calls in the Charger game..
The only thing Surtain ever shut down was Chiefs fans playing Madden trying to throw cheap @ss screen passes.

Bailey's numbers (per nfl.com):
2005 Denver Broncos 10 40 35.0 5 0 7 129 18.4 65 2 8
Surtain's:
2005 Kansas City Chiefs 11 41 34.0 7 0 2 53 26.5 53 0 4
The stats don't support a contention that Surtain is superior.... ;D

At this point, Warfield is more valuable than Surtain in the Chiefs secondary. He HAS had a very good year.

Since when did something like stats ever factor in to McChiefs fans' claims about their team? ;)

Good point... although some Chef fans have pointed to meaningless (and sometimes incorrect) numbers in the effort to prop up the likes of Quitterson. :P

Heh heh heh!
I guess meaningless stats are all you have left to cling to when your team hasn't accomplished anything of any significance since the advent of color television.

like how he is the leading wr in the afc west even though he is third in catches and tied for second in tds. The only thing he is first in is yards. I guess yards is the only stat that should be looked at.

I read through most of that thread and the majority of the Chief fans think Bailey is the best. That doesn't surprise me because usually your opponents' fans know your team just as well as we do and you'd have to be an idiot or a Redskins fan (Synonyms?) to watch him play and not concede he's in at least the top three.

Bailey's a stud, but didn't he drop a bunch of picks last year?
I wish Surtain had held onto a few balls this year....he's dropped at least 4 or 5.

Champ set a team record today by intercepting a pass in 5 consecutive games. The previous record was 4 by Tyrone Braxton in 1996.
Champ's actually got a shot at making even more team history. The Broncos franchise record for interceptions in a season is 11 by Goose Gonsoulin in 1960. Champ's got 8 with 3 games to go. It's a bit of a longshot, but he's within shouting distance. One can only wonder how many he'd have right now if he hadn't missed roughly 3 1/2 games this season.
