I know that he doesn't get activated that often, but if this is the atmosphere in the Denver locker room I have a very good feeling about the rest of the season.
Nate Jackson's Journal: Chin Up After Chiefs Loss
Naysayers take heed. Doubters beware. No need to panic. On Sunday we lost yet another game to the Chiefs at their pad in December. Cue the statistics. X number of games lost in Kansas City in this difficult month. X number of home wins in a row for them in December. X number of analysts jumping ship. Cue the shrug.
We lost on Sunday to a good team in a place that is very difficult to win. It is a fact that, as a visiting team, you need to play nearly perfect football to beat the Chiefs where they lay their heads. Facts are facts. It is also a fact that we played pretty darn good football and were in a position to win that game.
We made a few errors here and there that, collectively, put us in a bind we were unable to free ourselves from. We had our chances. You watched the game. But don't look our way if it's moping you seek. There will be none of that here.
We still sit alone atop the AFC West. We have four games left in the regular season. There is too much football left to worry about the games that are dead. Sunday's loss to the Chiefs is six feet under. Worm food. Life is for the living. Everyone on this team is poised and confident, calm and ready. Be not concerned. Stay on board.
