okay, you all know i suck with computers, so im really going to try to make these attachment pics work!!

alright whatever.
ive spent the last half hour trying, and i cant figure it out.

i have a guy here who's going to try and help me out here soon, so we'll see.
i got attachments in an email from my sis, but i cant seem to load them up here.

anyway, he was there yesterday, was extremely gracious, hung out with all the kids, and spent some extra time to sign autographs for all the teachers, take pics, etc.
when they had the assembly, he actually sat on the floor with all the kids.
when asked about awards, he told the kids the only award that really matters is the superbowl, but he thinks theyre going to win that this year.

anyway, some of you may have heard about it from the local news, but i thought i'd relay what my sis said.

ill try and get some pics attached soon.

jake

ps- i hope i can figure out the pics, because i want to FINALLY after a couple years post pics of my dogs as well, especially considering we have a baby pup!!

ummm, i think so?

its me sass, i dont hardly know what that means!!

im getting better and trying, but im still pretty bad.
i spent the half hour playing with it, managed to save the one photo to "my pictures", i saw the paperclip on here, but when i tried to upload it it said the file was too big, whatever that means?

I saw this on the news last night. I liked how he was dressed basically like I would dress... jeans, t-shirt, hoodie. Just a laid back guy, I dig that.

My jake plummer beard is coming in nicely too.

i too get confused with that.

1. Click on pic
2.right click press edit.
3. Go to images, then go to strech or scew
4. Fix dimensions to omane regulation, then save.

it usually works for me that way.

Hmmm...for my digi pics all I do is load the card into my printer and it puts them in my computer in a kodak easyshare program...then I just upload them on photobucket and I can post the link on a thread...Photobucket has an option to make them smaller...

im working on them right now.

it was pretty cool. wish i couldve been there!!
the one pic shows the beginning of the assembly (the kids were told it
was "bronco day" but NOT told that plummer would be there), and as they
all sit down plummer is sitting there on the floor with all of them.
pretty cute, since none of them knew beforehand!!

also, after it was over, plummer came into the kindergarten class (which was not part of the gig. not something he had to do) and asked if it was okay if he hung out.
apparently he sat there with all of them for awhile during story time.

Did they tell him not to throw into double coverage on the road in the endzone?

Seriously it is cool he took the time to be with the kids, I wonder if the Kindergarden teacher was hot though... I know I like to linger at daycare depending if the hot teacher is in my daughters room that day!

Funny, I just got to shave on Sunday for the first time since the Giants loss. I had to shave my neck b/c I can't get to scruffy for work, and then eventually turned it into a Goat... but I didn't shave it off until Sunday afternoon. Not to worry though, I've already started letting it all grow back! I've got to be the most superstitious (or however the hell you spell that word!) Broncos fan in Texas!

I'm actually trying not to fall into the whole "bad karma" thing myself. I stopped shaving after the Dallas game, and then boom we lose.. But it was Arrowhead, so it doesn't count I suppose. If we drop any of the next 3 games I'm shaving.

But as much as I'm warming to 'ol Mensa Jakey (and he has been NAILS all year - no doubt) . . . the beard thing really bugs me. Here's why:

Last year, he let it leak out that the beard was "a quiet tribute to Pat."

But now it's just a sloppy beard. Sounds hypocritical and exploitive to me.
I thought he said it had something to do with the oline?

Could be. He is very unselfish I think.

When he flatly said "I don't want it" when reporters asked him about MVP talk - I think he meant it. I'll bet the team loves the guy.

You know, I'll be honest, I think he would love it. I'm not saying he's a stats guy, or a personal accolades, me first guy... I think he does genuinely want this team to win... but with that said, I think everybody likes to be recognized, I think everybody wants to be named the best, etc. I think it's just human nature, especially when competing.

I think, if you asked him what he would want more, a SB or an MVP, he'd say SB and mean it... But I think if he could do both he'd be very happy.

thanks mav!!

you gotta love him sitting with the kids in the assembly.

also, another thing i forgot to mention.
one kid asked him if he signs autographs, and he said yes.
of course the kids thought that meant they'd ALL get his autograph that day (which of course he couldnt do since they had school and there are HUNDREDS of kids).

anyway, he felt bad, so as soon as he got back to the teams facility he put a note and signature on team logo paper and sent it to the school.
they copied it on orange paper and each child got one.

also, i mentioned this before i think, but he stayed much later than he was supposed to.
he sat in on the kindergarten class (it was a 3rd grader who won the contest), and he made a point to go talk to all the teachers and sign for them.

bottom line is the guy was pure class and went way beyond the call of duty to try and make it a special day for the kids. just makes me root for the guy more than i already did.....if thats possible!!

I started wearing my hair really short about seven years ago. I think a beard with really short hair looks funny as hell. Maybe I'll jump in when the playoffs start, but I doubt it. I did the lumberjack look for a couple months back in my 20s, but the beard was too itchy.

Man, Orange4Life, what are you trying to do? Melt down the last bit of Jake-dislike I had? These photos are confusing to me. What is happening? We're through the looking glass, people! Last week during KC game I'm actually defending Jake - Shanahan is yelling at him - and I start yelling at Shanny - "COME ON, SHANAHAN!!" I promise you - that is NEW territory for me.

And now, I see these pictures and reflexively say "what a nice guy."

I've gotta find that lady writer's Rocky Mountain News "jersey-chaser" column about Jake yelling at her and cussing the fans - try to get things back to normal, because I'm not in Kansas anymore . . . I've gotta rub my eyes, click my heels and say "we can win DESPITE Jake ... we can win DESPITE Jake ... we can win DESPITE Jake ... "

I'm guess I'm not too comfortable with change.
