There could be an injury to Aebischer or Budaj that we don't know about yet. But if there's not, then the Avs are carrying one too many goalies.
Stay tuned.

Hopefully we're moving Abby for a piece that we can then move to Florida for Luongo.

Or at least for a serviceable 2nd line LW. The May & Maclean expiraments haven't exactly panned out.

One too many goalies and I doubt Budaj is ready to carry the reigns full-time. If it's for that final to piece to get RL, what is that piece?

I really hope something is brewing. I'm getting tired of Aebischer's incosistent play.
This is a flawed team, anyway, so I'd like to see them start to add some good young players and, gasp, rebuild.

I wonder if Kolesnik is related to Borat.

Let me be the first to say that the Anaheim airwaves were buzzing big time tonight about JS Guiguiere possibly moving on. Could we be seeing a possible move to Denver?
I'm sure at some point in time the Avs would have had interest in Giguere. However, I would be surprised to see him Denver bound with Brian Burke as the GM of the Ducks. Burke has publically criticized Lacroix and the Avs on numerous occasions, I would definately be surpsied if any such deal would go down.

I hope Anaheim is kicked out of the league. Unless they fire Burke. Then I hope whomever hires him is kicked out.
SOB.

Heh, well, I DO have some pull in the Ducks organization you know. Who do you think told my good friend Henri Samueli to sh*tcan Federov and send him off to the worst team in the league Nyah!
Seriously though, the way the Ducks are playing, they will have a fire sale very soon if they cant get better results and Burke will probably be shopping Jean Sebastian, the Niedermayers, and maybe even Teemu. I'd love to see JS head out to Denver. That would be great!

RE: Brian Burke, that's why the nucks kicked him to the curb.

Man, if there is a big deal brewing, I don't have a good feeling about it. If Svatos and Liles go, I'm gonna be pissed....really pissed.

Please, this is the same thing MightySmurf said. Neither of those two guys are franchise players. They are pieces that are added, Luongo is someone you build around. Can't believe people wouldn't want to add one of the best, youngest goalies in the league because of the minor pieces that would need to be given up for him.

Boy I hate the fact that I agree with Smurf on something, but I do. How do you know neither will turn out to be a franchise player? For cryin out loud, Svatos is leading the team in goals.

My thoughts exactly. I like Svatos & Liles a lot, but neither of them are the type of player you can build a franchise around. Luongo is.
The Avs are going to have to face the idea of rebuilding sooner or later. Having a franchise goaltender who hasn't even reached his prime yet is the place to start. As far as I'm concerned no one on this roster is untouchable in a Luongo trade discussion.
If there was a way to land him without giving up either Svatos or Liles, I'd be all for it. But you gotta give something to get something.

For what though? 1 game with the big club doesn't seem like it would be much of a showcase for anything like a Luongo deal. Sounds more like something's close and they don't want one of the pieces to get hurt.

If someone could work this out, I'd be happy. ;) It's not so much Liles, but Svatos I wouldn't want to part with.
No one, CO? Not even Joe? Yikes.
