A slim win that went down to the last minutes and was given away because of a bad call against Lynch. If that makes them feel like they "owned us" then more power to them. Personally I'm thrilled we split these two games. I think we go 3-1 this last four games and finish second in AFC with a first round bye. The Chiefs...meh. This will be the game they show on NFL network as their "brightest moment"

Agreed. We had plenty of chances. Down inside the 10 and Jake trys to be like McNabb...result INT. That was perhaps the biggest game changing play. We score there we take the crowd out of the game early and we force the Chefs to throw. Not saying they wouldn't have been able to win anyhow... they sure were able to throw on us today... but it would have been an uphill battle for them.

Dec 24 Oakland easy win

Dec 31 @San Diego close win
I agree, except the other way. I think San Diego will eek that one out. A struggling San Diego nearly beat you in your own house in week 2. Now they're firing on all cylinders, and the game's in their house.

KC
Dec 11 @Dallas close win

Dec 17 @N.Y. Giants go either way
Agreed. Giants have struggled a bit these past few weeks, but it's in their house. It'll be a close one.

Dec 24 San Diego lose
Hard to say. Chiefs are playing a lot better, and it's at Arrowhead. But the Bolts are damn scary right now.

Jan 1 Cincinnati lose
Hard to call. Chiefs are really good against the run this year, so I don't expect Rudi Johnson to be a big factor. Chad Johnson, on the other hand ... depends which Chiefs secondary shows up on New Years. I hope for a good game, 'cuz I'll be at that one.

If they do win 3 of those 4 games, you'd better hope that the playoffs is all they sniff. San Diego will probably take you in their own house (they almost took you in yours, when they were still trying to find their rhythm). If you whiff at Buffalo, as I suspect you will, then not only might the Chiefs (or the Chargers) sniff the playoffs, they'll sniff the Division.

RedskinBronco? Is that you?

LJ is a good back but he got 90 of those yards in the last two or three drives when Denvers D inexplixably went retard and butter fingers. They couldn't tackle Aunt Sally the last two drives.

I dont mind if a team runs over you if we are blocked or in no position to make a play, but time after time our Lineman, Linebackers and DBs were sliding off KC players like they had just come from a Crisco party.

Denvers D is prone to a couple games a year like that when they cant tackle worth Shiat and this one sure qualified.

The whole D seemed like they were going through the motions and reacting and not hustling the last half and they had 10 days to rest. I think they had too much time on their hands to read all the glowing press about how great they are and speculating on whether we get home field throughout the playoffs or not ...etc.

Shanny and the rest of the bunch better get their heads out of their asses right now. We have stunk the last two weeks and squeaked out a win last week and squeaked out a loss this week and in neither of them did we resemble anything like a playoff team with a cahnce to do anything special.

One of the problems I think Denver has had the last 5 years is that we always start off hot and then some how in the way the coaches and the team interact around each other they get over confident and/or lose that edge.

The play calling was really poor except for a few calls today and whats with the 6 runs in a row multiple times. The runs set up the pass or vice versa. Each time we did that we fooled no one and it is such a Bronco trait that we WILL run 6 times in a row that opposing Defenses are expecting it.

The first Chief game and the second quarter of the New England game was a perfect case of what we can do with more creative play calling mixing it up intelligently.

Anyway, we sure as Shiat better beat the Ravens by 35 points next week . No more of these 4th qurter sqeakers if we have any hopes of winning our division.

I just hope Shanny communicates to these guys that they are not good enough to play like they are that good. They've gotta play with intensity and above themselves, each player on each play, if wer'e going to challenge Indy.

I admit it. At any rate, our division is so tight right now that nobody has a lock on either the division or the playoffs. It's one thing for us fans to pretend otherwise, but let's just hope that our teams don't pretend otherwise, or they'll be trouble. From here on out, every Chiefs game, every Broncos game, and every Chargers game is a must-win.
