Any chance we will see Champ matched up on TG again?

Also I was wondering how Coyer was going to cover the Quiter. Put Dwill on him with Furgy to help over top leaving Foxworth alone to match up on 2nd WR (who ever that is?) Parker? Borichter? Dainty? How do you see it? "YOU MAKE THE CALL"

Lynch loves to cover Dainty's 3 yard curl & Dainty has perfected the "Lynch Flinch" & going down or dropping the ball so I am not scared about him getting free like he did vs NE.

I loved watching DWill blitz in the Jailboy game & think this could be effective with his speed & ability to tackle.

I am not sure why Coyer keeps running the Delay Blitz when it never seems to work. Delaying pressure only allows the QB extra time to analyze the D & find an option to throw to our get rid of the ball. Sending DWill on the Edge from slot coverage makes the QB hurry a throw & if not picked up it is a sure sack.

Guess I am looking for how we will Blitz effectivly without giving Chefs free chunks of yards. I am not worried about run D, the D line will take care of that.

Football thoughts please keep smack to other threads.

If Champ is 100% I think you will see him matched up with TG. If not , I think we are going to try and match up Fergy or Gold on him. I think Dominique and Dwill should be an improvement from last year at arrowhead playing against their wr's. I would love to see some wrinkles in the blizting packages like bringing DJ and Gold to put pressure on TRint. Knock his A$$ out.:coach:

I'm not worried about their passing game at all. If we can stop Johnson we'll win this game.

It's all about stopping LJ.

You stop LJ, we probably won't look too good throwing it, either.

I think KC will be more effective running this time around, especially off tackle. Roaf and Welbourn are back and playing well. Didn't have either of them in the first game.

Pryce said he wanted a piece of Welbourn so that should be interesting.

Pryce said he wanted a piece of Welbourn

Did anyone ever find an explanation as to why?

No one is going to run on the Broncos to great effect this year. Our secondary is much improved since week 3. I think we'll see "The Big Nickle a lot, with Brandon on TG.

Because Welbourn's a nasty guy. I'm sure the two had their battles in 2003. Then Pryce missed all but the opener in 2004.

You mean there's a dirty O-lineman who plays for someone other than the Broncos?! The hell you say!?

I don't think we will much of a problem stopping the run, but what I would like to see more of is us rolling our coverage. Allowing Champ to stay in the flat, cause he is our best tackle corner and then we roll Ferg, Lynch, and whoever is on the other side into a deep third. First this takes away the fade route to the side of Champ because Ferg is at a 45 degree angle sprinting over to cover his third and then drops straight back. It also allows Champ to take away any quick swing outs to the RB. It probably would have been more efective against Priest, but you never know this could allow Champ another chance get another int to the endzone

I hope KC plays some of its ghost coverages they usually use on us. Those are the easiest to beat.

Not "dirty."

"Nasty."

Alot of linemen are nasty guys. Talk alot of crap and whatnot. Punch you in the balls when the ref isn't looking.

Blood and guts. That kind of thing.

Who's EE? Balls?

Anyway, Schefter was on NFL Network talking about Pryce vs Welbourn.

I'm pretty worried about it, because Pryce is a beast and he's going to be extra-motivated now.

KC should run a screen to his side on the first play of the game or something.

Im not really worried about the actual personnel, just the route combinations. It doesnt really matter who is at WR or at TE, well....thats not quite correct, but lets just say it matters much more what types of route combinations they like to use. Our extra days of preparation should come up huge here. We can spend more time just sitting back and thinking and putting together coverages that take away the route combinations they like to use the most.

I am not at all worried about the run. The D-line will take care of their Business & the LB's will mop up what they need help with. I was just wondering what to watch for coverage wise.

Quitterson is having a good year, (If you believe Iowiasssaian Quitterson is 200 yards ahead of any Broncos WR!!!BWAHHAHAHAHA) I was wondering how you guys thought we would cover him. I dont see Coyer wasting Champ on him but not sure he would leave DWill alone either. If we take away the Quitter & TG, it will make it easier to stop LJ.

I really liked the Corner Blitz Coyer sent against Bledsoe, hope to see some of that run against TrINT also!

Well I'm hoping the Chiefs come out throwing. I think we will need too, because you guys are going to be keying on LJ early IMO.

I want the Chiefs to attack your rookies deep with double moves.

I HOPE you put Champ on Tony G, because I'll take rookie matchups anyday.

Gonzo is in decline. He is still a weapon, but a declining one. We shut him down with Sam Brandon and our corners did spot duty on some obvious passing situations. Green is playing muc better but their line isn't what it used to be even with Roaf back. He still gets preassured a lot. I think We'll see some interesting match-ups in this game. Whether they accomplish anything remains to be seen.

...I still can't get over that I have a good feeling about this game...;)

I have the same feeling. I think it is because NE is the 1st team with a winning record the Chefs have beaten all year. Had they not lost to a terrible Buff team (with no TD's that day) & beaten a team with 7 or more wins I might be more concerned. The Dline is much stronger we are pretty healthy, & have 2 solid & 1 GREAT CB's.

I think Coyer put enough on tape to give Saunders enough work for 2 weeks. The threat of DWill coming from the CB blitz the week before Chef week was freaking Brilliant.

Tony G. hasn't had a great year but he is starting to come on strong. I can see (or at least hope for) Coyer mixing a few coverages where Champ covers TG one play/series and then switches to Kennison. I like the match-up of speed versus speed with Champ and/or Dwill on Kennison. Much of Tony's routes are timing. Jam him and squeeze the route and Greene will be forced to go elsewhere or force a pass into coverage.

It's wierd but weather and crowd noise are the biggest concerns for me, not the Chiefs team.
