Should Shannon own up?

Anyone else thing Shannon should own up to the harsh things he's said about Jake this year? I hear him this morning backing Jake, so it sounds like he's turned the corner.

Shannon has pissed me off with some of the venom that he's had. Sure, it's his job to have an opinion and state it, but for an insider like him to have such a negative opinion on one player looks pretty bad on the organization and the team that supports that player, IMHO.

I think he's overstated his thoughts on Jake just for hype, thinking that being overly critical is analytical and honest. Anyone else agree?
