5. Warren Sapp told me Friday that the Week 10 contest against Denver was a pseudo playoff game for the Raiders; a win means the season continues and the playoffs were possible, a loss and Oakland's done. With that said: R.I.P 2005 Raiders.
The epitaph will read as follows: "In typical Raider fashion, Oakland is appropriately penalized on a third down in the fourth quarter with about eight minutes left in the game and the Raiders down 23-10 in the red zone. Kerry Collins then follows that up by locking in on Jerry Porter, tipping his hand to rookie cornerback Darrent Williams, who returns the awful Collins pick for an 80-yard touchdown."

Williams read Raiders quarterback Kerry Collins like a book on third down, with the Raiders driving and the score 23-10, returning the interception for a touchdown that buried the Raiders. Williams also had a huge day as a punt returner.
