Granted, Gannon was a former raider qb, would be no wonder the amount of homerism from him. But it was engberg that surprised me today. annoys the hell out of me. earlier in the day, it was the giants-vikes game, bill maas constantly bringing up eli beating denver. dude had to say it al least 7 times in a 45 second stretch. also, the list of homoerotic sayings from phil simms could print a book...anyways...enough of my rant. Go Broncos.

I didn't mind them. I've always kinda liked Endberg

Beating Denver IS a big deal in light of them losing to a lowly Vikes team. Vikes won on Special Teams and defense.

You should've heard Randy Cross whining about the Bills/Chiefs game

Yeah...I remember being a kid, and Enberg doing commentary on a ton of donks games. His "Oh My!!!" was priceless because it usually meant that the great John Elway just pulled a victory out of his dark crevasse.
Gannon is a homer, but he's no Todd Christiansen. I think pretty much everyone hates that jackass. My gawd...can you imagine if that clown had some pups. The jerry (sp?) curls in that family would be something to marvel at though. They couldn't be anymore attractive than the three faced cat this kid brought in to school once. That thing was fuggly. Poor children.

Yes but watching the game unfold was causing him to bleed from the ears......

I try not to listen to the announcers as most the time they just point out the obvious and annoy me. I do like the stories they tell at times.
Gannon wasnt too bad of a homer, i know if i was in there i couldnt contain myself, id be the biggest homer.

I think it was more of a matter of him having a lot more insite into Oaklands offense and what they were trying to do. He was running it 12 months ago!

I've always liked Dick. I think he does a great job. One of my all time fav announcers. I thought Gannon was a prick, but I hate the guy anyway, between playing for kc and the fade I'm sure he has no love for denver either.

At least you were able to watch the game. We had to watch local boy...which is a bunch of crap because he's from grand forks anyway...brooks bollinger...who stunk up the jets game...so much so that I left the packers falcons game on and took a nap.

The only thing that bothered me was they had to keep talking about the no interception streak. I kept yelling, "Will you shut up!"
I just knew it was going to cause one, and if that Fader LB had any hands . . .

Also, wierd stat...how often have you seen offensive pass interference called the last ten years? and how often have they called it this year? makes your brain want to explode.

they did and yes, those do bring back some very fond memories
especially the "oh my, fumble!!" with Earnest Byner fumbling on the 1 yard line
obviously the drive sticks out too........

The only reason I cared is that when they do things like that, they are trying to make a blowout interesting to the general viewer. I didn't mind it because of the scoreboard...:Broncos:

I just knock on wood when they do that.
Seems to be working out so far.
