I try to watch this guy every week... he is a stud... his numbers may not reflect just how good he is...but dude can throw... run and most of all LEAD...he gets the hell beat out of him week in and week out and bounces right back up... He makes big plays... I have never heard him complain (doesn't mean he hasn't)and you never see him showing up his team mates... In my opinion... he will lead a team to the superbowl someday... not the texans mind you... another team... I would love to see the Broncos make a run at this guy in a couple years.
That is all.

Isn't he the guy who beat CU in the Jim Thorpe game 5 years ago? Cost us a shot at the national championship game?
He does have mad skee-yallz - but he doesn't seem too bright to me.

Guy is going to be dead before the end of the year.. his offensive line is possibly the worst in the history of the NFL.

I've posted a thread about bringing him in before. He'd be a good back-up and a guy to develop behind Jake. But, I refuse to believe all of those sacks he's taking are 100% his line's fault. Some QBs have a knack for avoiding pressure and some don't. I'd say that he has to bare at least some of the blame... no matter how bad that line is.
Either way, Jake is playing as well as could possibly be expected. As I've said all season.... we don't have a problem at the QB position. That argument has been put to rest.

You aren't too bright if you think that. Carr has grasped the game well and if the Texans had gotten him some protection in the offeseason, they would be mad scary.

Carr is a nice player. In skills alone he is probably in the top 1/3 of QBs in the league. He has never had any weapons or protection.

He has the weapons, Davis and Johnson and Bradford are a solid group of skill players, he just has no time. Sacks aside, he is pressured by far way more than any other QB in the league.

I've always liked Carr, but you can't expect your quarterback to perform when he is getting swarmed on every play.

Rewind to 2001, substitute "Texans" for "Cardinals", and these comments could easily be about Jake.

1849 yards, 13 TD's, 3 INT's and a QB rating right around 95.
I know you put a "couple years" catch in there... but come'on, Jake is playing great football right now. He's on pace to be right around 3500 yards, 25 TD's and 5 INT's. David Carr is a great talent, but I don't trade those #'s in for anybody right now!

I said that I expected Carr to be good this season about a week ago in the chat room and someone asked me if I had down syndrome.

I agree, I like Carr but I wouldn't trade him for Jake.

Given your username, I was thinking that you were talking about Chris Carr... which I found odd, consider today's game...

Carr's problem is a weak OL. As old as KC's is right now, Carr would look great behind it.

Never even entered my mind... I wouldn't trade Jake right now either... a couple years from now??? You never know... I just like the way Carr plays.

I hear you. I like Sammy Davis. He's been on my front porch eating barbecue before and was one hell of a nice guy... but the second he was drafted by San Diego, I had to stop cheering for the guy.
