I guess when 1 person says well win, lets hope our team doesn't overlook the raiders.

I like our chances, but do fear their wide recievers against our two rookie starting corners.

team __1st 2nd 3rd 4th OT Final
Denver 10 _7 __7 _14 _0 __38
Oakland 0_ _7 __6 _0 __0 __10

We get up 10-0, but they score to make it 10-7. then we get up 17-7 at the half but they come back to make it 17-13 before we score late in the 3rd to make it 24-13. then in the fourth our o just weras em out and our defnse gives us the ball deep in oak territory to lead to 2 TDs. Note: LaMont Jodan loses 2 fumbles in our endzone, one that goes out of bounds (forced by ian), and one that dj knocks out that is recovered by champ. we also force collins to fumble three times (on sacks by brown, pryce, and lynch) though we only recover one (by big al) we also force collins to force the ball and we get three picks, one an acrobatic leaping pick by champ, one a terribly underthrown pass that darrent jumps, and one tipped ball that dj gets to. jake is magnificant once again, and our running game smacks oakland in the mouth. After the game, the folks at NFL primetime will slobber all over us as a potential pick for the SB.
(if this happens i expect the cash to be sent directly to my house)

Wouldnt surprise me either way it turns out. Thank you, SoCal. Wise as ever.

I'm kind of surprised how people are looking at this. You have a team that feels they were slighted last week after out-playing the Chiefs all game to have it stolen in the wanning moments. Remind you of anyone? Us two weeks ago, maybe?

You don't think the fade are going to be hungry coming back home against a division rival that they know should they beat, will not only send a message to the league, but will get them back in the hunt for the playoffs?

I don't want to say this game scares me completely because of Shanahan's record against the fade and his record when he has an extra week to prepare, but I do not expect this Raider team to just roll over for us. They are going to be hungry, playing at home, and pissed about the loss at Arrowhead. They're going to bring it Sunday.

:yep:

thats what ive been trying to say the past week as well. The Fade will not roll over and play dead. They are in a do or die situation. They know they gotta win out for a shot at the playoffs and every game is a playoff game from now on, add to that the division rivalry and i think were in for one heck of a game.

I am scared and cant wait, kinda have mixed emotions. Our team is superior to the Fade, but it will be a tough game with out a doubt.

I'll say it. It scares me. Very much so. The Fade are playing good football right now. They really are. If they could get Moss to actually carry his end of the bargain they'd really be in good shape. He is hurt yes, but if he did anything that last game they would have won. This is a dogfight game here. I am glad we got the extra time to prepare. More time for the players to watch film and get a better feel for Oakland's tendencies. And ofcourse far more time for contemplation and plotting strategy for the staff. This is a huge game for us. KC is breathing down our necks despite the fact that we have played superior football in the first half, yet the gap is just one measly game, a gap that likely will be made up by the game in Arrowhead alone. We MUST win the games we should. A win this week and then next week against the weak Jets puts us at 8 wins, 2 away from the playoffs, 3 away from the division. But this week will be a big challenge.

It'll be tough, no doubt. But there's many factors to consider to take some of the the worry off. We're rested, we're healthy (only 3 players on injury report and they're all probable, extra time to game plan, Shanahan owns the Raiders and then of course there's this guy:

Their best corner and best receiver are hurt. Hopefully Champ will have healed enough to be effective.

I think we need to pressure Collins in order to neutralize Oakland's three great receivers furthermore we will have to stuff their running game. If we do those two things we will run away with the game.

I will agree with this all the way, just adding to the pressure on collins will eliminate porter and when that's shut down expect collins to try and get his RBs envolved for short pass plays over the middle but we need to keep jordan from gettingany extra yards after the catch.:Broncos:

Hungry as the Fade may be, keep in mind that Shanahan despises Al Davis and this is ALWAYS a big deal for him. Two, Denver just came off a bye and to really help silence the critics on the midseason slide we have suffered in recent years, the team will be out to prove something still. Further, a divisional game is going to mean a whole lot come the end of December so Denver understands as much as any team out there the importance of this, and indeed, every game this year.

Denver is a far more talented team in my opinion, and I have no doubts both teams will come out well prepared for the matchup and both teams will give their best effort, but as it is I do not see the Raider best effort to be anything more than a bump against the Bronco's best effort.

Next, Moss is fairly injured and it has shown in recent weeks. Porter is still a good threat but the way our rookies have played this year I think the bend but don't break philosophy will work well in this game. I do not expect any interceptions from either team because both teams are not very turnover prone. Collins has been handling the ball fairly well this year despite the past. Much like Jake. Both have above average offensive lines and both have good (or in Denver's case, great) running games. Its going to come down to Defense and that is where Denver has a much better edge in the game.

Oakland will score 10, then score a TD late in garbage time. JMO.
