He was on ESPN radio tonight and he talked about no mistake Jake, and that Jake is different because of his patience.. he also talked about the play of the rookies and reiterated that he looks at them like veterans, said they (foxworth & williams) were not concerned about money and they just wanted to play football.... also said that TO would be welcomed on the team if he kept his ego in check and that he would love to see TO on the Broncos

I agree 100% Sassy

Talent always clouds reality from other teams this guy is a jerk and poison's any team he is on. Since we are in dire need of a legit WR I would never rule it out we sign him but, I for one would hate the move.

Indy doesnt want him, they publicly stated that. Denver will get TO, yeah you heard me correctly. We took in the entire browns d-line, drafted clarett, i guess we all forgot that we have a punter that had questionable character like TO. I havent heard a PEEP out of saurbran. If TO does act up shanny wont hestitate like Andy Reid did for the whole summer and let him play. Shanny will show him the door like he did with clarett and mr. ihop. With the way everyone in the Denver organization is acting nobody really is saying anything bad about TO. Atlanta doesnt look like they will get TO because he put his Mansion up for sale there and same for his home in NJ. He's moving west to Dallas or Denver.

I would LOVE to see TO challenge Al to a fist fight in the Bronco locker room.

That alone would be worth bringing him in...

Big Al would stomp him.

But of course, we would never get to see it.. so i say don't bring him in.

The ONLY way i would be in favor of this is if he dropped his agent, hired a new one of course, and then signed a contract with little garaunteed money. That has already been stated, but i am in favor of it.

With his talent, you'd be nuts not to at least consider the possibilities.

In the end though, i just don't see it happening.

I think TO would be perfect in Denver IF he changes his agent. Otherwise, I don't see Denver pursuing him.

Pryce punched out Griese maybe he'd slap Owens around a little.

I want Owens for this year only. Give him an incentive contract for the rest of the year and then let him go to FA at the end of the year. If he had an 8 game window and the playoffs this season to make owners give him money for next year he would be on hios best behavior.

Murray says: "Do it...Do it..."

Owens would change the complexion of the offense and give us possibly the top WR group in the NFL instantly. How do you stop that group? Rod runs the short hooks/slants, Ashley runs the flys and deep crosses, Owens runs screens, outs, flys, slants, and catches balls in the endzone.

If this team brings in Owens, I can guarantee that we will win one or two more games than we would have otherwise and that we would also get into at least the AFC Championship game.

The guy has to change a little after all this mess. I think he would be my all-time favorite player if he ruined Philly's chances for a Superbowl win for the next 5 years and came to Denver only to shape up his persona and go into the hall of fame wearing orange and blue.

Owens will get the chance to play for someone. How much would it upset all of those Raider fans who gushed over the Moss acquisition if we ended up getting the league's best receiver for bottom dollar?

I can definately see it happening. Especially with Moss in the AFC west. I would love for it to happen too. The broncos locker room has a lot more leadership then the Eagles and Mike don't take no bull. Owens 1, Lelie 2, Rod 3

It would be practically useful to get Owens because he would be the buffer for Rod to ease on into retirement whenever he runs out of gas. It would also give management time to draft a guy to take Rod's place and allow the team more flexibility to trade picks or draft the best available at all of their picks. That has done well for us recently by netting us Okie Williams, DJ Williams, and Foxworth. Owens keeps his body in shape and I could easily see him carrying on for another 5 years or more.

For all of you that are upset that the Broncos get nothing but uneducated and half-minded coverage on the national scene, Owens would immediately put your Broncos in the media spotlight. That's great for me because I live outside of Denver and only get games here when the Colts, Cowboys, Texans, Patriots, Steelers, and Eagles arent playing.

Well before he signed with Philly, I was really wanting him here, but I knew it was pretty much a pipe dream. At the time, I was likening him to Shannon Sharpe, I little bit of lip, came up with some sh!t, but made the game fun, As long as you were winning...

This year proved to me how much different he was than Sharpe. And how wrong I was in that department. But, still, maybe if he did come here, he could kind of fill that Shannon Sharpe roll. Plays with fire, was a little of a pain in the neck, but much more of a pain in the ARSE to the other team, and create severe miss-matches, which we all know Shanahan just LOVES to play with...

One thing I can say for sure is this Season has been interesting and very fun to watch so far, and it will be real interesting to see how this and other stories unfold...

I keep seeing Owens with big plays and TD's, Bell with long runs, Rod with big catches, Anderson with punishing runs, Lelie going deep, and Jake hitting wide open receivers off of the bootleg.

I think that your Sharpe comparison is perfect. He was just as goofy as Owens and he was a tight end.

I'm not certain, but I know that the Eagles are pressured into waiving him and if he does, he basically gets to pick the team he wants to play for. Why not Denver? Its not a big media market, but you are guaranteed a WR friendly offense, a prolific offense, a player-friendly clubhouse, a team committed to winning, and the adoration of the leagues most ardent and loyal fans outside of Green Bay.

The only scenario I can think of is that the Eagles release him and denver signs him. Most likely Eagles do not want him to play this year because they KNOW that if they get rid of TO he will go to a superior team like the broncos and possibly win the SB, thereby making the Eagles management look like a bunch of retards.

Well then that pretty much settles it for me. TO will NOT be a Broncos this year at least. No way the Iggles release him, they might not have much of trade bait with him, but they can always try, plus if you trade for him you at least are guaranteed to get him rather than take him as a FA who wants his money. JMO, but i bet next season he has a monster year no matter where he goes.

and to claim Owens would mean you would have to take on his contract. No team is going to pick Owens up off of waivers and pay him what's left of the $3.25M he is due this season.

No one will claim TO and he'll become a UFA.

Heard that too.........He said when the 9'ers were looking to trade him a couple years ago he got a call from Walsh and flat out said no. Said life is too short to have to deal with that kind of a headache.

For the love of God! TO Would be great anywhere but here. Denver does not throw the ball enough to satisfy TO and on top of that, there would be instant friction between TO and Rod.

Jake would throw one errant pass and there goes the whole season.

Given that, I wonder how long we'll be seeing stuff like this:

Denver Broncos — Now this is Mike Shanahan's type of signing. Shanny has shown a penchant for signing others' unwanted and unloved in an attempt to show he can resurrect. Rod Smith is still effective but they need another true threat in that offense as time goes on. This one seems as likely as any other place.

This does put the Broncos towards the fore-front of the "Where is TO gonna end up" question.

The process of elimination will begin in the locker room w/ the team leaders (whether or not he would be accepted) and mgmt. knows that.

Rodney Harrison already blasted the thought of having TO even for the vet minimum.

Al Wilson and Rod Smith are the vocal leaders of this team, Wilson just gave his stamp of approval to the idea on national radio.

This will increase the Broncos - TO talk as we get further along.

Everything else aside .... TO, Rod Smith, Ashley Lelie, and hopefully Darius Watts (at some point) would be quite a WR corps.

This won't be over until TO signs with a new team. And I have a feeling that nearly everyone that hates the idea of having TO on this team will change their turn if Denver gets him, then TO goes on to play great and act accordingly.

I think Terrell should just skip the whole football career, and set himself up in one of those medieval pay-a-buck-to-throw-a-vegatable-at-the-jerk booths - - preferably somewhere in Philadelphia - - and all of his financial problems would be solved with the revenue he'd pull in over a single weekend.
