Two of UM's best draft-eligible underclassmen told The Herald on Tuesday they have decided to return to school next season. Third-year sophomore tight end Greg Olsen said he is ''definitely going to come back'' to UM in 2006: ``I enjoy being around here.''

Later Tuesday, junior safety Brandon Meriweather told The Herald's Susan Miller Degnan, ''I'm coming back. I'm having fun, and another year of college would be better for me.'' Injured junior RB Tyrone Moss also will return. But junior DT Baraka Atkins said he hasn't thought about whether to turn pro.

Also....Count ex-UM linebackers Jonathan Vilma and D.J. Williams among those who have been calling Willie Williams to keep his spirits up.

Williams said he played only 10 snaps vs. Virginia Tech but had four tackles. Coaches want him to be more disciplined. He said they scream at him in practice when he abandons his assignment to make a play. ''I've grown to accept my role . . .'' he said. ``It's going to be scary when I'm on the field 60 plays. Somebody is going to get hurt.''

SoCal - do you ever make it to any games down there? Despite the neighborhood, the crowds are fun.

I also heard a radio report that said Vince Young told his coaches he was staying in school, which would be the best thing for him in my opinion. However, you never know once the season is over and all sorts of pressures are put on these kids.

Unfortuneatly Ive never been to a game at the Orange Bowl, much less ever been in the state of Florida. One day I gotta make it down there to a game, hopefully a night game vs. FSU. Vince Young is staying eh? Thats probably the best for him anyway. Needs to continue to improve, although he could probably go pretty high this year due to the really poor crop of QBs.

Give Willie Williams another fire extinguisher in the meantime. T. Moss shouldn't have come out even if he was healthy. Good news regarding Olsen & Meriweather.

Hey SoCal, where do you project Orien Harris to be drafted? There was a time when he was thought to be a late first rounder, but I haven't heard anything about him in a while.

I think he is early to mid 2nd right now. We'll see what kind of numbers he puts up at the combine and at UM's pro day. As of right now I believe he will definitely be available at 1B, although he might sneak somewhere into that late 1st if he runs well and does well in the drills. But if 1B ends up at around Pick 25, 26 I am pretty sure he'll be there. Im not sure I would confidently endorse him as someone we should absolutely target though. Orien isnt a sure thing at all. He has alot of ability, but he still hasnt reached 2003 form, he is playing better than last year though.

If Baraka Atkins comes out, he would be a good pick in the 3rd. Weve forced him to play DT because we have had a mini-crisis at DT the last couple years because a few others guys havent panned out but he is a DE out of position. He played DE in 03 and he was pretty good. Atkins is a good player who would be a good pro DE. He can rush the passer. He's around 275 so he has strength as well.
