Lloyd certainly has the ability to make amazing catches. I still remember the acrobatic sideline catch he made late in the 2003 season.
This one might be the best catch I've ever seen. The refs should have picked up the flag in honor of such a great catch.

The best catch I´ve ever seen arguably is this one ... only College ball, but still unbelievable

http://www.filecabi.net/v/file/collegecatch/wmvYeah, that catch was incredible. Too bad the guy that caught it, Tyrone Prothro, suffered such a gruesome injury a few weeks ago.

I'm an Auburn fan and it was to bad to see a good young kid like Prothro get an injury. He was released from the hospital a couple of weeks ago and is on crutches now.
A big loss for Alabama, who have struggled on offense w/o him.

That play is so wild that at first glance it looks impossible. It looks like some Lloyd fan at Pixar got ahold of the tape.
Amazing athletic play. He should play a sport that displays his athleticism better like basketball or soccer.

If you want to talk about great catches of all time, one that sticks in my mind is from a number of years back in a Colorado v Oklahoma game, in Norman. Charles Johnson caught a touchdown pass from Kordell Stewert in the endzone while he was on his knees and the Oklahoma defender had come from behind him to reach around is neck and forcing his helmet back. He still ended up catching it. I'm pretty sure that was the same game that the Boomer Scooner tipped over at midfield when circling at halftime.
Lloyd is a Kansas City kid and played on the same team as Ladell Betts, Washington's backup RB & KR.

That was a great catch, easily the best of the year thus far (right behind Alexanders of course 'D)
Also that 'Bama catch was sick.

You should have convinced him to play soccer at St. Louis U.

Ha, kid was too much a superstar...we all knew he would be to bigger and better things. He wasn't the only NFL on that team...
He palyed a lot of good ball at Illinois when they were decent.
That same HS team had...
Brandon Lloyd
John Garrison - Started for Nebraska at center for 2 years. Played with the Texans for a short stint.
A kid that played QB at Dartmouth and other countless smaller school players and DII players.
Lloyd like mentioned above played with Betts who is a great NFL player.
Kind of a crazy school like that...its fun seeing some of my former team mates playe college ball as well.

Guys like him get nice contracts to play for European clubs. DeMarcus Beasley is the only player we have that has that kind of athleticism, and he's like 5 foot 7 or 8 I think.
I wish more of those kids would play soccer so that our talent level could catch up to the rest of the world. :)

As a big soccer fan I am with you...
But if I was him...I couldn't imagine making the jump.
There are not a lot of football\soccer combo players. Mostly football\baseball guys.

Before I quit to persue a music career (not the best choice at the time, but I dont regret it one bit), I played high school soccer my first year and played on the varsity squad with a couple of football (non-kicker)/soccer guys that actually went on to play college ball.
I played against one guy who got a full soccer/football ride from Notre Dame. I didnt think that he was that good, but you know how that goes.

Hah! He was a decent soccer player, but was a good athlete. He never got close to putting one past me though. I was his pimp on the soccer field. Even as an underclassman.

They are a middle of the road program, but still respectable.

It was funny...playing as WR, CB, K, KR, P, PR made it so he played on every single play of every game.

the way i see it it´s gonna be hard to convince promising kids to play "soccer" because of one simple reason: money ... being a great athlete doesnt mean that much as the most important thing is skill and not great physical attributes

I agree with that to a point. If Barry Sanders had been raised as a footballer, I am certain that he would have been an amazing player.
It is difficult to get the top tier athletes to continue playing soccer well into college because it's not "cool" to be a soccer player in most places in the U.S. when you are a teenager. It's the sport that everyone plays until they get into high school. I played and enjoyed it.
