View Full Version : Breaking T.O..... Is Done for the year

REB

A news conference was just held out here in the Philadelphia area and Reid said that TO is serving a 4 game suspension and will not play for the Eagles for the rest of the season. He said TO had every oppurtunity to avoid this outcome but unfortunately did not take advantage of those oppurtunities. He also has told TO this about an hour ago and informed the league but they have not reponded. More news when it becomes available...

HA! Got what you deserved A$$hole! See ya!

Guess this will end any speculation until the offseason to where he will be playing next year.

Old Dude

Wow. I didn't expect they'd hit him with the full four game suspension.

Now the question is whether they cut him afterwards, or whether they just keep him on the inactive list.

when he is on the 4 game suspension for "conduct detrimental to the team", they do not have to pay him....

eh...my team is still pretty potent on a 12 team league. It might not actually go through actually I think the voting panel may have vetoed it or something. It should have gone through on Saturday but I've yet to hear anything about it.

C Johnson
D Jackson (Jurevicius till he gets back)

I had heard - Dan Patrick on the radio, talking about the places TO might end up at. When he said "Shanahan" and "Denver" a chill went down my spine. This guy is a cancer everywhere he goes and any team that takes him is playing with fire. I've also heard that it's not likely that TO will get released after his four game suspension and that the Eagles will just pay him to sit and then release him at the end of the season. This makes sense because if they release him he has a chance to go to a contender- and basically would get what he wants. At this point I am hearing that the Eagles wouldn't want to let TO get that victory.

I was talking to a friend of mine about this very thing while watching the games. I actually see a situation where TO will sign with a division rival just to get back at Philly. Imagine what the Redskins would be like with Santana Moss AND TO. If that happens, they won't miss their first round pick at all...

Skins are a real possibilty. Snyder has been known to pony up the dough. He wont think twice about giving TO another shot either. The Eagles may try and trade TO, but with teams knowing the Eagles will drop him later anyway, will anyone actually go for a trade?

I'm sure we were both biting our nails on that trade...he was the second best WR in football...I scored like 48 points last week....I have Edge tonight but it's hopeless unless he rushes for about 500 yards and 5 TD's...

This guy is amazing about screwing up teams...He screwed up SF, then Philly, now my team and your team...I honestly thought that if he would just make a sinciere apology, and shut his piehole up, I would be regretting the trade...in fact, I almost called Pezman to cancel the trade, but figured if I threw a fit and traded him, it would be my fault if it bit me in the ass...

MeShawn's fight was with Gruden...T.O. challenged the entire team...pretty funny how Trotter went in the training room (totally off limits to any media, regardless whether they played for Philly) and kicked T.O.'s ass, or at least tried...that's when I decided to cut line with his tool.

are you serious?

wow my friend.
the guy has talent, and lots of it, but let me ask you something.

how well do you think his attitude will go over with plummer, mike anderson, and more importantly rod smith?
it would be a train wreck, and not something i want to see.

he's not worth it.....at all.

lelie has struggled to start the year, but he'll end up with decent stats.
smith is still....well, he's smith. the man.
plummer is distributing the ball better than ever before, and finding adams, devoe, and even watts.
we have david terrell who cant even get on the field.
we're getting solid play out of putz and alexander.
we have weapons in the passing game, and we dont need this chump to come mess with the chemistry.
we have our team, and our team has leaders.
leaders that wont put up with T.O. or his mouth.

true, but he DOES care what jake, rod, mike, and the defensive leaders think.

want evidence?

it was rod smith and brian griese that ultimately decided that kennison was gone.
shanahan asked them to make the decision and they did.

like i asked DU, what do you think rod, jake, and mike would say about terrell owens.
we have david terrell and darius watts who cant even get on the field, we have rod, ash, devoe, and adams all playing well, and we have a qb spreading the ball around wonferfully.
we dont need this guy and the cancer he carries.

My bad, brain fart...Douglass...I doubt Trotter wasn't ready to kill the guy tho...

Trotter had contract troubles, that's one thing...being a tool is another...

I agree...we let the Claw keep taking reps and try to figure out what the hell is wrong, and DEVO seems to get better each game...Adams is OK, but needs to learn how to wave a fair catch on punts...I'm terrified every time DW fields a kick too...it's not going to happen anyway...I can't imagine what Reid and the front office have said behind locked doors about this tool...they will suspend him and pay him the 800K they will still owe him and humiliate him...just watch...they don't want him coming back to haunt them if by some miracle they make it to the post season.

Dr. Phil should stick to worrying about imposter cheerleaders assaulting chicken necked real ones...it's hard to find a more idiotic show than Oprah, but Dr. Phil pulled a trifecta...that Psudo Shrink makes my skin crawl...

Why are these posters calling for Ricky Williams and T.O. ? We are 6-2...your all insane...Denver doesn't need another RB...we released Q who wasn't a head case...true the Claw hasn't made an impact, but we are getting yards with Rod, Lelie, Putz, Alexander, and Devo with an occasional redzone toss to Kyle Johnson...the time to worry about castoffs is when they hit the wire early in the season...it's the home stretch and we have some pretty good chemistry...why do you think Ricky would get released anyway? He's playing for minimum anyway...the only reason he's playing at all is because he's scared they will find the 2 million in gold bars hid somewhere in Nepal or Australia...uhhh...I spent it...well that's possible, but highly unlikely...but you just never know with this fool...why would we bring in a fool and a tool?

LOL! Yeah I saw that. Dr. Phil to the rescue. Call me cynical but I kinda hope for a Kathy Lee Gifford situation with Dr. Phil. She was always going on and on and on about how perfect her family and life were and then BOOM. Hubbies out screwing some flight attendant or something. Dr. Phil thinks he knows everything and every way that he and his family have done/handled things over the years is THE way to do it. I like the common sense approach as well but stop shoving your so called perfect ways in everyones faces. Something will go wrong eventually. :)

Dr. Phil is priceless...if your watching a parody of him on Mad TV. There is a reason he's on in the afternoon with the wife is supposed to be cleaning the house...notice they don't put it when they are timed to pick up the rug rats...before Hubby comes home and switches it to ESPN...

Multiple TV's probably prevent more divorces, yet also create more than any other factor...

"Honey, why won't you watch the Lifetime Channel with me?"

"It's just simpler to get away from your tastes honey...now I went to Victoria's Secret today, I have a little surprise for you...just enjoy your Desperate Housewives and we will have a nice conversation later tonight..."

I don't think anyone is going to be trading for TO. I suspect that Philly will just leave him inactive after his four game suspension and cut him loose in the offseason before his bonus is due. Nobody is going to trade for him when they know he will eventually be cut. I don't think Philly releases him this year since they don't really have anything to gain by this, other than saving a few bucks. I'm sure for Philly it will be well worth those dollars to keep TO's hands tied. Someone will take a flyer on him next year, but you can bet that it will be a minimum contract loaded with incentives.

This is too funny. Schefter is reporting that Owens has a clause in his contract where he has to pay back part of his signing bonus if he's suspended for more than one game. Mortensen is saying that the Egirls are going to go after 1.8M of his signing bonus. This is great!

Not only that, but I'm not sure when they have to pay him that roster bonus...hopefully it's in June...that would be priceless...It's amazing that all he had to do was play out this year for the paltry sum of 213,000 per game and see if the Eagles gave him his roster bonus...Rosenhause sure looks after his clients...almost as well as the Postons....

He seems like the perfect candidate for Arizona or even Oakland...man that's setting the fuse huh...Porter, Moss and T.O. a match made only in comedy....
