Nothing. But it's more relevent to the conversation about the upcoming game in December than a Super Bowl win 7 years ago.
Wouldn't the 30-10 game this year be more relevent than both??

Yes, but have you forgotten KC/Den, let alone AFC West history? I can't believe any Bronco fan is totally confident in getting a win at Arrowhead in December. Hell, I just assume a 3-3 record in the division when the season starts. Any road victories are just gravy.
I think Denver has reason to be hopeful, but I think that hopefulness was there many times before, most recently, last year. What happened again? I can't think that far back.

I think it is pointless to even bringup last year, Denver is a much differant team and KC has many changes as well. I am not totally confidant that the Broncos will win in KC, but I am cautiosly optimistic. KC's defense is not good, and Denver will run all over them once again.

Defensive stats after 8 games with league rank in parentheses:
Total Yards allowed:
KC-355.2 (28)_
Den- 332.8 (22)
Passing yards allowed:
KC--260.6 (31)
Den--244.5 (29)
Rushing yards allowed:
KC--94.6 (8)
Den--88.2 (5)
Turnovers:
KC--14 (T-16)
Den--15 (T-12)
Points allowed:
KC--22.9 (22)
Den--19.0 (15)
Funny, I don't see this giant chasm in defensive performances that is perpetuated here.

This game will be gravy for Denver then. It is possible. You're talking about history at Arrowhead and point to last year as an example. Look back at the year before.
Denver had twice as many yards, 10 minutes more T.O.P., 9 more 1st downs, better 3rd dn %, fewer turnovers, and a better redzone efficiency, but somehow lost. The refs were the difference between a 1 point victory for the Chiefs and a 6 point victory for the Broncos. (probably more if they spotted the ball within the 5 after the clipping penalty)

Redrage, stats against other teams are great and all. But the basis of methinking that your defense is suspect is due to the fact that the Broncos piled up 220 yards on the ground the only time the 2 have played this year. I would think that stat would give Bronco fans reason to think that the running game will be successfull again in December.

OK I understand that. But Denver had 202 yards rushing the first game last year and 132 in the game at Arrowhead. And while 132 yards rushing is nothing to sneeze at, it got them a 45-17 loss.

Actually I think it has more to do with Shanahan. For some reason his play calling at Arowhead is vastly different than when these two teams meet in Denver. Much fewer bootlegs and misdirection and more Plummer dropping back.

Mullet, I dont' care what the score was in your last game, orthe game before that nor any of the games before that. I don't care what the teams did or didn't do last week, last year, or last night. Doesn't mean a thing. Yep, I cringe when my fellow Bronco fans cite all kinds of stats to point out the Broncos will win, but it is actually stupid for it to come from you. Why? Because you are so passionate about trying to "prove" that the mullets are either better than or equal to the Broncos. That is a laugh. The mullets will never be better than the Broncos on this board. Never.
What a F dimwit. Last year's stats do not mean a thing. Every game is a different set of variables, a different day, a different time, different game plans, different players, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Can you understand that?

You are an anomaly I would hazard to guess. I tend to think fans, coaches and players alike all remember these types of things and it affects their performances.
The last few years KC hasn't been that much better than Oaklnad, but own a 6 game winning streak against them.
Or how about when KC was ahead late in a game vs. Elway and Denver had the ball. You don't think KC was thinking about past history then?
Or KC going 13-3 and getting a home playoff game.
How would you explain Denver's performance in recent seasons vs. Baltimore?

I have CertifiedJackAss on "ignore" but I saw his post quoted in Pez's. Man, I can't believe he thinks that's "smack." Or that he's made some sort of argument.
He's standing in faded bell-bottoms, a flower in his hair, wearing in a paisley-print shirt. His hand is holding a newspaper announcing the Chief's victory in SB IV along with the latest casulty report from Vietnam. Behind his round-rimmed sunglasses, slipped partway down his nose and a "Jesus Freak" patch on his jeans' hind-pocket and a hemp-rope belt, he announces: "How pathetic! The Broncos won't win a Super Bowl until the late 90's! And then, only two in a row!" :blossom:

Today's game was strange. KC's offense was horrid when it mattered, red zone and the OL has got major issues.
Getting Roaf and Sampson( who are still out ) back will do wonders to help, but the issue is the age. It has caught up and the younger pups on the DL is having their way with us.
Over ? Not yet, but damn I can hear that fat lady singing warming up her voice . No doubt today's performance was horrid and useless, why did they waste the airplanes fuel to make that trip.
