Should be a pretty big male dog. Probably be taught to sick and hate rednecks and beaners. "Elway" seems a little pretentious, so is it gay.

It would be less "gay" and more "roid rage/oakland raider"

Why would you name your dog after that prick?
My first dog was named "Chief." The scary thing about that is, I didn't name him and had never seen a Chiefs game at the time. That dog was a prophet.

And, perhaps not coincidentally, the Chiefs have been playing like dogs since then. :)

I have always said that I love Romo. At first I was offended that he got Gradishars number but, he was the heart and soul of the Denver defense during their SB runs. I loved the way he played and I loved his attitude towards football. He lived and breathed football. He would do anything for a victory. Football is war. I love that. That is the way I played. The final 4 weeks of our football season in college My sophmore year me and the other DE took out the opposing QB 3 times, the other game we knocked the QB out for 2 series and he came back strong but we kept pounding him and we won. We hit him early, we hit him late and we drove him to the ground everytime. We were trying to hurt all the QBs. Our goal everyweek was to knock the QB out of the game. That's what a defense does. I love all the quotes where players say they aren't trying to hurt the QB..HAHA That is soooo funny. Of course they are. If you knock the QB out of the game you just improved your chance of winning by 100%. It's not politically correct to say your trying to knock the QB out of the game ..but make no mistake that is what every defense tries to do. What do you think the Broncos were trying to do to McNabb on Sunday? He is injured don't you think Denver was trying to hit him early and often hoping he would be less effective and maybe if they were lucky they could knock him out of the game and Koy Detmer would have to play?? I knocked a Qb out and seperated his shoulder and I was thrilled. I didn't care if he missed the final three games of the season, the most important part was we got the win. Any defensive guy that is more worried about the other teams health than the win is not a guy that I would want as a teammate..... I must say football games for me were not a lot of fun. It was war. It was hard it was physical and victory was everything. There were times walking up the stairs to my dorm room(4th floor) where I would be in tears because of the pain in my knees. For anyone that has played college football I bet can relate. You live with your teamates you practice all year and winning is what pays your scholarship.
All that being said I would have been proud to have played with Bill Romanowski. All he ever cared about was winning.

I had a half Chow half German Sheppard that was beautiful and Smart. I named him Elway. It's a great name although I didn't want to be out in my yard yelling for him after a loss.

Hmmm...Romo has been accused of a lot of things, but I don't seem to recall being light in the loafers as one of 'em. ;)

I couldn't call a dog "Romo" his entire life, but that's me.
Why not Butkus?
And for the comment about naming it that only if it was a bulldog, I have very specific opinions of that. If a bulldog is a female, it should be named something delicate, like Tina, or Bubbles - just to get the irony thing going. If it's male, then it needs a traditionally human name, like George, or Marvin - not sure why on that one, other than it just feels right.

Naming a dog Romo is like a little man driving a big Corvette.
Save us all some time, no playing games, just whip it out on the spot and be done with it. No need to be coy.

Thanks...he gets alot of compliments.
People love him. He's a great specimen of the breed and he's big, so when they see him they are intrigued and a bit frightened. When they get to approach him, they find out that he's full of sweetness. He's a great dog.
He killed an opossum in our backyard the other night for us (or so he thinks) :) .
