Directly after the olympics Jeremy is heading straight to the combine and anticipating a 4.2 40. The man is a local legend!!!!! He won't be a first or second round pick but you just can't pass up speed like that. He would fit our system well in a Tim Diwight or Dante Hall role, return punts, kicks, and excite the crowd. :contract:

I would like to see the Broncos draft a stud WR in the first round. Bloom is a project & I wouldn't risk anything lower than a 4th on him.

According to our resident scout Watermock, Bloom has multiple ACL tears and will be competing in the World Cup next year, so drafting him would be crazy. Oh yeah, Bloom's also a primadonna. FWIW.

Definitely worth a second day pick. Darrent Williams has shown that his real value is at corner and it would be wise to save some wear and tear on him, especially if they can get a home run threat like Bloom to return punts and kicks.

the guy has amazing vision and quickness. will be a great kick/punt returner, but probably won't play much else. with the number of choices the broncs have this year, it could be the year to pick up a luxury item like bloom.

Denver will probably end up with 3 4ths (theirs, Skins, comp), they could afford to take a chance on him.

Not going to waste anything higher then a seventh for a kick/punt returner when we have Adams, DW, and Luke.

So hell no.

None of those guys could hold Bloom's jock when it comes to kick returning

I ran into Bloom at the Philly game this past weekend. Seems like a great guy and... he is a Broncos fan. Can't beat that. I wouldn't mind giving him an opportunity to come into camp but I wouldn't draft him. He is tiny!

His dream has always been to play for the Broncos

We wasted a 3rd round pick this year. I say we draft smart. We dont need a project. Speed is nice but how will he act when he's back returning kicks and has 10 guys running full speed to knock the s@#t out of him?

Probably no different than he did when he had 10 guys running full speed to knock the **** out of him when he returned kicks in college. It's not as if he's never played football before.

Not really that much of a comparison college to pro. Pro would be alot different. He was a good player in college but will that corelate to good player in the pros? I dont think its worth a pick to find out.

I think it is. Bloom has world class speed and great moves. He'll be a home run threat every time he lines up to receive a kick. Look at the value Dainty Hall has brought the Chefs, Bloom has that kind of potential. He'll never be much as a WR, but he could easily be one of the top 3 KR/PR men in the league before too long.

We've already seen this season what upgrades to the special teams can do for us. I say go the full nine and get us someone who strikes fear into opponents when they have to kick. I like Darrent Williams there just fine, but as I said, his job is starting corner opposite Champ and I'd hate to see him get dinged up returning kicks, especially if there's another option out there who could be even better than him.

I guess we shall see. I think we need a WR and a couple of knock you on your *** safeties after that I'm in on whatever they want to do.

Valid point he is tiny, but it wouldn't hurt to have our own "X" factor like the Chiefs with Dante Hall, Hall is no giant himself

after really readin about him, i would love to see shanny take a chance in the 4th or 5th round on him.

My thoughts are well documented on this subject. If he's availble in the 4th round or later, take a shot. Anyone attempting to make a Mo Clarrett comparison to Bloom will be negged repped.

Exactly. I want another home run threat, and I don't want to risk Darrent more than is necessary.

I would take him in the 4th or later depending who was around. I think he would make a great return guy and he runs good routes as a WR. Not big enough to take the punishment there on every down, but he is a threat everytime he is on the field.

I'd take Devin Hester over Bloom returning kicks anyday. But, Hester will not be coming out. Regarding Bloom? No thanks.

Considering that Darrent has the look of a solid #2 CB I would say to go for it. I have no idea where he'll fall in the draft... but we wasted a comp 3rd on MoC... I could certainly see us using a comp 3rd on Bloom!

I don't think this guy will be worth a crap in the NFL.

Great idea! Throw away another 3rd round pick!

I think Bloom can be an effective return guy in the NFL, but I don't understand those who say a comp pick is a pick that is meaningless and it does not matter if it is wasted. Hind Sight is always 20/20, but if the Broncs had picked Mathias instead of Clarett last year, they would not be in the hole with OL depth this year.

I'm not saying that our comp picks are meaningless, I'm saying that if you're going to take a chance on MoC in the third round (happened to be a comp pick) then I wouldn't put it past the Broncos to use a comp pick on a guy like Bloom or even Crosby.

Crosby is staying in school according to his parents in Friday's Denver Post

Good! I had serious doubts about Shanny drafting a Kicker next year anyhow. But 07 w/Elam being a year older...who knows?

Mario Williams, Kiwi, Wright, Huff, Haggan, Reggie McNeal, and Nance... if we can end up with two or three of those guys I'd be estatic!

Could go Kiwi w/#1a, Huff w/#1b, Nance w/#2, and possibly McNeal w/#3a. I doubt McNeal lasts that long, but if he does he'd be a great pick in the 3rd round. I know we have BVP behind Plummer, but McNeal has as much talent as Plummer or BVP!

This would be my ideal draft for us. Good job oskie.

Unfortunatly for as long as I can remember the broncos have never drafted someone I've wanted. I'm still gonna cross my fingers.

I wanted Ash over Reed. I wanted Kwame Harris, we got George Foster. I wanted Tommie Harris and we got DJ (Tommie was off the board). I wanted Justin Miller, we got Darrent Williams. So, we got 1 guy that I wanted and it turns out that Ed Reed would have been a MUCH BETTER pick. Kwame Harris and Justin Miller have both been busts. Tommie Harris has been a world beater, but he wasn't even available. Morale of the story... sometimes listening to us fans isn't such a great idea! Oh, and last year I also wanted Justin Tuck, Dan Cody, and Chad Owens. Only one of those guys has got decent playing time...Tuck. Cody went down early with injury and Owens didn't make a squad.
