Wow. Champ really does make some mind blowing plays. I hope he retires a Bronco. He's a rare athlete and a great player. Viva la Champ.
Now if we could only get our receivers to make grabs of that quality. He made that play with a bum hammy and a banged up shoulder.

Ashley Lelie was making great catches against Giants. I have no doubt in my mind he will be a Good #1. We just need someone to man the #2.

That wasn't even a bad pass. Plexiglass had the position. He could have dove for it easier than Champ.

Ashley is too inconsistent to be a number 1. You have to make the tough catches and have a tangeable presence in dictating the flow of the game to be a number one and I dont see that ever happening until he can play in games like he does in practice, but that's not very encouraging to me.
We still have a long season left and he could have some huge games, but he needs to get more involved and catch some difficult balls so that Jake trusts him on the shorter routes.

I agree, just beacue he was a first rounder doesnt mean he was going to break out at once. He seems to put in a lot of effort and hard work and his route running is vastly improved. If it wasnt for an invisible Foster hold, Lelie would be player of the game.

I will disagree, If we had a QB who could hit our receivers in the numbers, both Lelie and Watts would excel.
Even if it means drafting in Leinart, So be it. We need a QB who can win and not throw erratic passes.
Plummer has made few mistakes, but he still isn't accurate. Our running game is the reason he isn't making mistakes. If we had to pass, he would have 10 ints by now.

What was it about that was so mind blowing?
The guy is running full speed and goes horizontal in a layout dive, cradles the ball, positions it so he doesnt fumble and can also take the blow from the uprushing ground. Look at how in-contol of his body he is. Unbelievable.
That's a rare spacial awareness that reminds me of Micheal Jordan in midair.

You mean like the ones that went right through Lelie's hands in the endzone this season? Or the deep ball that he dropped with wide open space ahead of him? Or the two that literally went right through Putzier's mitts and hit him square between the 8's in the last game?

Yep!! Jordan had that air control like he was still on the ground and Champ seems to have that same control over his body.
The only thing i can say badly about that is that Burress didnt put any effort out and if he did that ball would have been tipped. And thats not Champs fault at all, but it does change things a bit.

You mean that deep ball where the receiver is suppose to come back for the ball and Plummer tossed it 10 yards over his head?
Get a new QB in here and his production will go up a lot.

Seriously, he made Ian Gold look pretty slow.

for all the talk about this INT being game-saving or whatever, let's keep in mind that if it hits the ground it's 3rd and 15 and NY probably has to punt anyway after failing to convert in that ridiculous circumstance.

By the way, Llama he wasnt running full speed.
Both of them just made a cut and started running again when Champ saw that ball coming.

BTW, I wouldnt even try to argue with DB-Freak anout Champ Bailey, It's pointless. Freak has bashed Bailey ever since he came to Denver.
He has said Herndon and Smoot were better then Champ.

Taco, Have you learned? Freak will do anything and say anything to make him look bad.
It's not only Bailey either, It's our whole defensive secondary he bashes.
In the offseason he said Herndon looked more impressive then Bailey. He proceeded to say Herndon never was beat like Bailey, Freak's memory is kinda faded, Price got 2 of his 3 touchdowns because Herndon.

freak has a point here. When you look at it he just jumps and catches the ball. This happens quite a lot in the nfl. It's nice that he got his arms underneath it for the the possesion, but the catch in and of itself is one that any good wr should be able to make.

Reread it and comprehend better next time.
I never said Herndon was the high caliber or the better corner. That's why Champ is the number one corner in our defense.
In a sense Herndon did have a better season than Champ last year. Champ was like around the 70 th range in getting targetted for deep passes and one of the highest in giving them up.
So you prove to me Herndon was burned as consistently as Champ last year.
