Don't want to debate the ranking system yet again, but did you read the comment on the Broncos? Even they think the refs screwed us. They also wonder, like everyone else, why we keep using that useless empty backfield:

"Guess what: Denver got kinda shafted in this one. The refs called a number of phantom penalties, while "Plaxico" is apparently Spanish for "pushing off" (Plaxico, Plaxicas, Plaxica, Plaxicamos, Plaxicais, Plaxican). But with Tatum Bell, Mike Anderson and a great offensive line, why on earth does Denver keep calling for an empty backfield on third down? NEXT: vs. PHI"

I am surprised that they even made a comment about that. The east coast media seems happy with pumping the NY readers full of sunshine about Eli Manning's "coming out" party.

There were some horrible calls in that game. There were three huge momentum penalties that I can think of off-hand.

We are still seeing our Dline held on nearly every 3rd down. Something has to change with that. It's getting to the point that I'm nearly ready to call "fix" and give up on football. On the Giants' last drive, Warren burst though the middle and was blatantly held from behind and still get about a foot from Manning. That call would have sealed the game.

i agree. The O played agreat game, until the 4th quarter. After that constant 3 and outs seemed to wear out the D, but they still should have held.

Onward to Eagles!! Hindsight is 20/20 :charge:

The refs did suck but how the hell are we supposed to win when our team only shows up for 45 min. of a 60 min ball game? You had to see this coming it has been happening for the past two weeks and finally bit us in the butt???

"Plaxico" is apparently Spanish for "pushing off" (Plaxico, Plaxicas, Plaxica, Plaxicamos, Plaxicais, Plaxican).

I'm not trying to highjack here, but what the hell kind of name is Plaxico anyway. Was it on sale? I wonder if some people really think they're smart enough to invent a new name that really works? Okay Shaniqua, let me have it...

How 'bout "Plaxicorp"?

The Giants dropped 3 spots because Denver really pressured Manning with a series of blitzes where John Lynch or Al Wilson would wait for the initial blocks to set up and then sprint towards Eli unblocked. Giants need to solve that one before every opponent is doing the same thing.

There was 1 3-and-out in the 4th quarter...and it was on a drive when we were obviously going to run the first 2 downs to move the clock. The two other drives we had in the 4th took up 5 minutes and were it not for foster's hold we would've netted 2 FGs instead of just the 1.

To suggest that our D was worn out after having been on the field for 23 of the games 58 minutes seems sorta strange.

I've been thinking shanny does most of the playcalling these days, am I wrong? I would love to know who to blame for taking our best asset out of the equation.

Worst set ever, almost worse than rod smith in the backfield. Its like their designing plays in madden. Slant to a running back? I guess our receivers are garbage. But who could tell? They never throw Lelie the damn ball.

Lelie has been thrown to 39 times(not including the game vs NYG), while stalwarts like Reggie Wayne, Donald Driver, Deion Branch, Marvin Harrison, and Keenan McArdell have seen less.

The guy has a problem with route-running(I've counted 2 instances where shanahan has given him that "wtf?" look), and drops balls right between his hands. There would be a reason if we didn't throw the ball to lelie, but we do.

The maddening part is he makes harder catches look easy.
