If you paid w/ a credit card like I did, you may be in danger of having your number stolen by an employee. I got a call today from my Credit Card company questioning a 850 dollar transaction made on the internet of a purchase of music at an online music store. The only thing I can figure out is that someone at the Ramada took my number and tried to buy some things online. Good thing they caught it. I closed my account and they are sending me a new card. I called Meck and warned him and now I'm warning everyone else. Call the number on the back of the credit card you charged the room to and have them give you all the purchases that have been made in the past 4 days. I'm pretty sure it happened at the Ramada since that was the only place I used my credit card in New York. I paid cash for everything else. Hope no one else got burned like I did.

I'm fine because they called me and asked for my verbal authorization for it and I said "No". I'm not liable for the charge. I just hope no other people haven't got call and the fraudulant charges go thru.

I'm sorry to hear about that. Thanks for informing the board. Wouldn't you love to grab that punk by his neck and stick his head in a toilet!

Sticking his head in the toilet in NY would be an refreshing break from the bad air of the place.

Welcome to New York...they stole the game, now they are trying to steal your identities...I knew it was crazy to go there but what can I do to stop them...

If anyone doesn't know what a craphole NY is they are crazy...I couldn't care less if I get grief...the east coast sucks...the west coast sucks ....I'm not scared to go to denver...hell a stupid tow truck ran thru both of my stop signs on my street at 60 MPH and didn't blink at either stip sign...I was afraid Beezer would get run over...Three kids raced by, then the Tow Truck ran both stop signs...I think he was chasing them...luckily Beezer is comfortably lounging on the comforter, but unless you have red lights, you don't run stop signs at 60...I live on a double stop sign road...very quiet...It was like Mad Max for a few minutes...Three cars stopped and screeched (or tried) and accellerated...then a Tow Truck blew thru both the signs at probably 65...when the three cars blew by, I wondered if my cat was hit because I called him...then this tow truck blows thru two stop signs...I think it's the fire chief, but he wasn't running lights...I'm pissed and am going to find out who the hell this idiot is...my street is quiet as a mouse hibernating...It just is...it's like Mayberry RFD off the main road...

The funny thing is that I haven't seen another car even go down the road...I'm pretty sure it was the Fire Chief chasing punks...

Still..man he blew threw my hood at about 65 when we go around puttering around at 20....

He he doensn't light up, how can he run lights? He had a rack but they were dark...he just ran thru two stop signs at 65 in a 25...I cussed till I was horarse..I will find out who it was...If your going to do that, you should have your lights and siren on...my street is like a freaking bird sanctuary....I have all kinds of pretty birds...lots of wrens, cardinals, robins, I have some migrating critters.

Mock loves critters....noone touches my Pheasant crop out at the homestead...you could kill a pheasant or partridge with a wrong step...

I just kinda harbor the things...even fox...for the mice...I let it all go...Hunting off not allowed on Mock's farm except for Beaver, which can flood the farmland....wolverines and skunk are fair play...Heh.. Varmits goes without saying...

If anyone wants to hunt on my property I guarantee you might step on a critter before you flush it...heh...It's kinda cool too give them safe harbor...I'm not into hunting...if I see a terrorist around...that's a different story...mock is like ellie may on the hillbillies...I let them sort out their affairs...Red Fox hardly have a place anymore...they have a home here...it's hard for them because most fencerows have gone down...I got him covered tho...He's around mousing...

Enough rambling...mock just loves his critters....I only kill when they are bastards...Woldverines, Skunks, Ferel dogs or cats, and Rats and mice...

Oh yeah, us NYer's are all crooks! ::) .....it's unfortunate what happened at the hotel, but don't start to throw all of us NYer's into the same mold like some on the board do.....this could've happened anywhere.

Your generalization that the entire east coast sucks, is pretty narrowminded.
While New York City isn't everyone's cup of tea, it sure isn't a craphole.
You need to rethink your generalization, of the east coast & NYC.

I couldn't agree more. I hate when close minded people generalize about entire states or regions they've never lived. It's like, "The whole place is a ****hole. I know because I drove through a small section about 5 years ago." ::)

bum, sorry it happened to you dude, but I have stayed at that hotel at least 50 times and have never had a problem. Whenever I need to be in Jersey or Pennsylvania on business, I know to stay at the Ramada and have a few cold ones in the sports bar.

I knew you guys would have fun with Miami Mike, as he always puts on a great show.

Glad you caught the error and thanks for the tip to check our own records.
