The broncos could be 6-2 after this weekend which is what I personally thought would be a great stretch to the beggining of the season. 5-3 isn't too bad considering the schedule DEN played and as poorly as they played in week one Im sure anyone hear would of taken 5-3 after week 1. I think will pound PHI this weekend kind of like the pats.

We should pound Philly. I hope it's for the ENTIRE GAME, though.

You're right, I do feel fortunate to be at 5-2 considering the tough schedule and the humiliating loss in week one.

On the flip side, I am disapointed the Broncos are now two games back of Indianapolis for the AFC's best record. Pittsburgh has two losses and with their easier schedule, they will make a strong run at the other 1st round bye.

In my eyes, the AFC West crown is not good enough. The Broncos need a 1st round bye if Detroit is the ultimate goal.

I'm not down at all personally. The Broncos have faced practically all quality opponents across the board (with Miami being the only possible exception) and are sitting at 5-2 with a chance to go into the bye week at 6-2. Plummer hasn't thrown an INT in 5 games. Anderson & Bell are both on pace for 1000 yards this season. They're a +7 in turnover differential. Champ is finally getting healthy. They're getting pressure on opposing QB's. The second half schedule isn't looking quite as tough as it did before the season started.

Plenty of positives to be taken from what we've seen so far. The best of which is the 5-2 record.

If we can win 3 and lose 1 that means 12-4. That's not bad. My concern is the Buffalo is looking better. Teams don't usually win there in December. We all know our reccord at Arrowhead. That last Chargers game could be ugly, and the Ravens seem to have our number. There are a few games we'll need looking at things as they are right now.

I agree but there the problem is that I don't see Indy losing more than 3 games and I'm afraid of the same ending as last 2 years. I hope we can beat Pitt out for 2nd spot.

Considering our crappy play in the elements - heat in Miami, rain vs Skins - maybe a nice dome game in the playoffs is what we need.

Ha!

I actually remember this one time that we didnt have a bye week and had to travel twice and won a superbowl.

that memory is still pretty vivid to me.

And a guy named Toomer ruined our perfect season a few years ago.

Beating the Eagles is very possible and a 6-2 record would be great!

Uh, we aren't going to catch those guys under any circumstances in the regular season.

I'm not down at all. A five game winning streak, no turnovers, defense making plays, Jake not making any bone headed mistakes (knock on wood), running game working, 5-2 and 1st place in the division. What's to be down about? I wouldn't want to see the mass suicide from alot of posters if we went 0-7 to start the season. Good gawd that would be ugly. But I think those who have been extremly upset and down this week are very fortunate people actually because if the worst thing in your life right now is a 1st place 5-2 team who lost on the road by 1 pt then you should get down on your knees and count your blessings.

I don't care about any games besides this one against the eagles. This game scares me because the eagles are a good team still and if they get hot like they did in kc it will be tough. This will be a tough game and hopefully we will pull it out.

Ha!

There's a good thought.

My dream season would be to kick ass in Indy on the way to Detroit.

We owe it to ourselves to pound Payton into the carpet.

Bills, Chiefs and the Chargers are the teams I worry about even if they allbeat us and we win the rest we will be 11 and 5. That should give us one home game and maybe even a bye.

Damn we had that NY game. Damn damn damn!

Too bad it's in Detroit, that towns an armpit. Went to a White Sox game there this summer and most interchanges had the on ramps tore up so if you got off the interstate you couldn't get back on and then there were the detours. It was so tore up I don't know how they'll get everything fixed up for the SP. Then there are the fans........................
