on the pass play that got them to the 5 or so. why the HELL was gold covering shockey:twitch:

When the field is spread you have to cover him with somebody, put him on a WR and get beat by 20 yrds instead of 5

Where you got beat on that play was when Manning was fading back , that was your chance to tip it or sack him.

Denver made some pretty damn good D plays on that drive, the hit by Lynch was a nice hit on Barber.

Just came up a bit short, if I told you I didn't love it I would be lying, hell I changed the channel of the Raider game to see you guys get beat :)

Point I am trying to make is that when they have that many recievers on the field and one TE that catches as good as a WR it makes matchups difficult, you give up pass protection and risk getting the QB clobbered but you gain the fact that a LB has to cover somebody and in this case a LB is not going to do well with Shokey unless he pounds him at the line.

It was a close game, it was in their house and the game was played to the wire, I don't really see this loss hurting the Donks at this time as long as they rebound next week

Yeah, shockey is a tough match up. They played him solid throughout the game, shock just made his plays when it was crunch time. No one successfully was locking him down and in that offense, no one probably could.

I threw up when Elam missed that FG that would've clinched the game. I knew that was the beginning of the end.

It basically came down to a dumbass kicker, (and yes ALL kickers are dumbasses) who lost the game for you.

The team is pretty solid overall though, I like our offenseive weapons better than yours but I like the way your D plays better than ours.

Only way the Raiders will have any success this year is playing offense like they did yesterday because we are playing pretty good against the run minus the LT debacle.
Against the pass is another story, I hate to say it but the Raiders actually played better yesterday without CWOOD and Gibson in there.

I'm pretty sure the strong side linebacker normally lines up over the TE. Thats why its the strong side, the TE is lined up there. Who covers him in Man coverage depends on the play call.

What package was Den in? Personally, I couldn't watch, because one Manning got the ball back with time and down over 6, I was ill.

Sure, but why would Den have 3lbers in on that situation. I guessed earlier that with Brandon out and Cox really getting playing time and DW with cramps, Den lacked personnel to go with 5 and 6 dbs.
