Shake it off, throw some dirt on it, and get a win at home with help from THE 12TH MAN.

If I remember correctly, last year after the Broncos lost to the Bengals they came home to play the Falcons and Invesco was as quiet as a group of mutes in a bomb shelter even though the Broncos lead early:tearhair: .

A win at home before the bye and we can forget all about this game and all about "The Slide"... The 12th man will be needed. I am already chomping at the bit to get to Mile High on Sunday and watch the Orange and Blue pop the Egirls in the mouth:boxing: . Who's with me?

Yeah just can't help but see how this mimics last year. NFC team coming to town with a really good QB. I'm sorry but if we get carved up by the QB's we have been I don't see why McNabb would have a problem on our D. I can see McNabb lighting us up in the 4th quarter especially, but probably the whole game. Philly really needs to watch the game tape of the last two Broncos games and realize that they can get away with riding the back of the Dlinemen all day long and not have to worry about any penalties. I think Denver loses this one and limps into the playoffs to lose again. JMO.

I disagree on the Philly points. They didn't impress me today, as I watched whole game against SD. Hell, SD has a very poor pass defense, and McNab didn't look that great. I know he's hurt, but they're not the great team people thought they were coming into the season.

They're good, and they could win, but the Broncos, especially at home, have just as much chance at winning.

If Plaxico made us look average in the backfield, what will TO do? How do we slow him down on Sunday?

WOW!!

2 losses into the season and its a wash already huh? Im with you 100% on the refs, they did everything they could today except making Denver foreit, but you are off base here. The D played one great game, and they are for real. No doubt in my mind that this unit can and will be dominating given a decent set of refs.

Im with you Shay, the 12th man will be needed next week, if the team is as livid as many of us are with a tough loss against an inferior team they shouls come out blazing! :strong:

Yeah and Vick is honestly a crap ass passer that looks lost in the passing game most of the time, but just carved the Broncos up with a ridiculous completion % and modest but not great yards and no picks though. I don't think McNabb will have many problems. I think the Broncos may stay close, but they won't get the win. 5-3 going into the bye would suck considering 2 losses in a row and mimicing the "slide" but I think it will happen I just can't see Denver winning that game.

We lose 1 game and all of a sudden a hurt Donovan McNabb is going to come in and beat us easily in our house?

We're not losing this game.

God I really wish it was just reverse karma. The midseason "slide" has just been beaten into me over the last few years to think any differently. :vermeil:

I watched the whole game as well, and I was not impressed. TO will get his I am sure, but so what. Philly is so one dementional it is frightening. If we can get some sacks, the game is ours.

The "slide" has me worried too, but this team seems a ton different to me. I dont know why, but the vet leadership with the rookies on the field playing this team has a different look.

So holding LT to 7 yards rushing on 17 carries doesn't impress you huh? We're going to get the crap kicked out of us if we play like we did today.

I thought we played good today until the end of 3rd/4th. Dont forget we do play well in the first, now its time to carry that over.

Kinda makes you think if its lack of conditioning. 4321~ games in a row.

The problem is with a good Eagles team...we need to make sure that they are buried in the fourth quarter. I mean they looked brutal offensively today and they are going to have a little bit of a chip on their shoulder coming into Invesco. We need to bury them and bury them early. I'm getting nervous especially with the Chiefs inching closer and they have a weaker schedule coming up.

Our pass defense isnt that bad and has been improving every week. The amount of yards givin up are misleading. Teams have been throwing it 40 to over 50 times on us lately because they cant run.
McNabb threw it 54 times today and had 262 yards passing for only a 4.6 yard average per pass. Collins threw it 48 times last week and had no TD passes. The Patriots threw it 38 times, the Giants 41 times even you guys threw it 38 times.

Shawne Merriman started today and most likely will be starting the rest of the way. He has been a huge addition and creates havoc and really pressures the QB. He had one sack and had a few other pressures. As a team we had 3 sacks today which gives us 20 for the season and plenty of knock downs so our pass rush is getting better. Dont let the pass yards fool you because the Eagles only ran the ball 14 times all day.

You're absolutely right, I was focusing on McNabb & TO and not looking at their defense. Bottling up LT was huge.
