I don't watch College football but this kid stands out in highlights - especially here in NE Ohio. Anyone else have information on his game overall?

Ted Ginn certainly is a sick talent, but he's still maturing into a football player instead of just a great athlete.
Ginn had an unbelievale true freshman year, a year in which he scored a TD on an average of every 7th touch. Mainly used as a punt returner last year, as he was making a transition to WR as he was a projected CB in college. Now there's talk of having him as a 2-way player along with returning punts but our depth at CB is clogging his path as a cornerback.
Ted Ginn is a dangerous man, fastest guy in the country, and when he hits a hole, there's no stopping him as he's just gonna blow by everyone on his way to a TD.
Here's my thing though, Teddy came into the season as a Heisman hopeful, as OSU was going to give him every chance to be a gamebreaker by giving him the necessary touches, and right now he hasn't lived up to it. Up until the last 2 games, it seems as though Ted has been doing a lot more dancing and trying to create something rather than just running forward and finding a hole. With the speed tht he has, if something is there for him, he'll turn it into a TD, but the first 5 games of the season he started out very timid of doing that and it cost him. Against MSU and todays game against Indiana, there was a different Ted Ginn out there, the Ted Ginn I remember watching last year. I think the coaches sat down with him and told him exactly what I've been saying, that you score TD's by running downfield and not sideline to sideline, and that they'd rather see him get the ball and take it north-south instead of just dancing around in hopes of something opening up.
Don't get me wrong, it's the most entertaining 5-8 yards on punt returns that I've watched when he does all of his jukes out there, but it's still is just 5-8 yards tht he gains on it.
As a WR, he's not great WR yet, he's burner that will go deep and take screens to see what he can do as a playmaker, but he still needs work on the intermediate routes and learn how to get open by using more than his blazing speed in order to become an elite WR. Part of it has to do with the Buckeyes QB situation, but Ted Ginn could certainly help them out by getting the other routes down and becoming a go-to guy like Santonio Holmes is for us.
Ted Ginn can become a great WR in the country, and in the NFL, but he's right now just a superb athlete that plays football.

Could you imagine Ginn if he had a good QB? The guy could be flat out sick.

I believe that Ginn was recruited as a CB. If his hands do not improve and another freshman comes up I think Ginn might be sent to the defensive backfield, like Chris Gamble was.
