You all will love this board as soon as he figures it out a little more, this forum uses an AJAX system that will also save on bandwidth and the costs of operating the forum.
The new plugin mod system will enable him to do things with this forum that weren't possible with the other forum.
Give it time, it will get much better

It's okay... after I went to my USER CP and hit reply on one of the subscribed threads. My post quick reply option is back now. It's just that I think TJ took off the categories (Discussion forum > General Discussion) on the bottom and now I have to scroll up every time I finish replying.

You really can't actually have a conversation without bringing out some unoriginal crap. It makes you look bad when you can't defend a single one of the points you make...
Aside from that. I love being a Chiefs fan. There have been so many enjoyable moments in my life that have come about from Chiefs football. Fun times with family and friends. High highs and low lows. I am lucky enough to have gone to many many games in Arrowhead and other places around the country. Its been a while since we have won a Superbowl and I can't wait until we win one. I am not sure when its going to be but it will be a blast...something I get to share with the people I love.
Until then I am here cheering and enjoying every win and every loss.

There's a grip (atleast 20) of posters here that have been here since the beginning. We've shared many a story, watched each others kids grow, and welcomed each others new babies to the world. We've shared the loss of loved ones and serial illnesses as well.
I realize you're new to this board. Please take this as a constructive critique of your views. If you don't like it here go to the Freak where they allow their views and their views only to be voiced. This little poll of yours wouldn't even be allowed on most boards. I don't think so. Here at the mane it's not so important to me b/c I know all of the posters and what they bring to the table. But, when I go to another board, a board that has names I don't recognize... I'd like to know who's respected. That's usually where the rep comes in.
With the mane growing as fast as it is I think it's good to have the system... atleast the newcomers can get some sort of idea about who is somewhat respected for their football knowledge etc...
Somebody mentioned earlier that Alec isn't the best poster. He may not be but he certainly knows and talks football with the best of them. In fact, if you look at any of the top 10 rep folks you'll figure out pretty fast that they are good posters and know their football. That's not to say that 11-2000 aren't good posters as well, I'm just saying that you can count on those top 10 to bring good opinions.

I rarely criticize board im on, i know what the freak is like and this poll would be treated the same way you are criticizing me for posting the poll, sort of like who the hell do you think you are 24? I did send a pm to Taco exactly what i meant by this thread, obviously if criticizing the mane is bad then how is this place any different than the freak?

Ha. ya my second was against the Oilers in Houston. Yowza that was long ago. Buddy Ryan was supposed to have an unstoppable defense until Keith Cash invaded the endzone and spit on his poster. Joe "I am hiding a softball in my elbow" Montana was at the helm that year.
To this day one of the best games I have ever seen in person was the week before in Arrowhead against the Steelers.

So I guess Slap, SoCal, Spider, Alec, Khan, and Pez don't bring anything to the table? I share your opinion on Mediator, LB52, and Popps. Wabbit has dropped off a bit lately. I think the Cheffans have got to his head b/c he spends most of his time fighting with them! TJ's takes are usually pretty good, but his Jake bashing doesn't jive with my opinion of the Snake so I'm not giving him credit right now! ;D

Like TJ, I enjoy the comments...it becomes obvious who gets wound up by simple things I say. That and the attempt to comment flood my website.
Bronco LB 52 is the kind of playing it cool on the board saying the most classless things in rep. He is easy to get goin...I dig it.

Why does everyone take rep so serious? It's supposed to be fun. I rep anyone who reps me, I rep anyone I like or dislike. I rep posts I agree with or think that is funny... mostly funny. If someone has an avatar I like(baja) I rep them. I have repped a lot of people multiple times and they haven't repped me back I don't care, if they say something funny I'm going to give them credit for it. Hell, no one is dying from this or losing their jobs. It's just entertainment. I could care less if I had a rep power of ZERO. It doesn't matter. The best part of rep is building friendships ...and well enemies.LOL I believe Pez and SoCal have the same philosophy as I do. Just have fun with it. I'm especially weirded out by people that get upset with negative rep. That is funny. Why does it matter? Negative rep is nothing but telling someone your opinion.

As for the rest... I doubt anybody goes to the rep tables, but when a poster from say the Giants comes here and has a reply from somebody 1 bar and then another from somebody with 3 bars, he's probably going to think that the person with 3 bars has had more solid takes...which is probably true.
In the past when everybody had 10 or 11 bars or whatever it was...I would agree. The system was bunk. TJ is trying to make corrections to that. I'm not trying to say that rep is the first and foremost thing somebody should look for. I'm just saying that it's a useful indicator and *can* help somebody determine who has better takes.

Patch used to be a decent kind of rival poster... something changed a while back, though, and now it seems that he isn't even really into football... or talking football, opting instead to go right to the exchange of insults with rival fans. It isn't about the game; it's about his perceptions of the "character" of the other poster. Maybe losing so many games has taken its toll... I dunno.
