In some way I miss the old days, but in other ways I like how it is now. It was a lot more personal back in the day, but now there's a lot more knowledge and insight on the board. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the insight guys like SoCal, Mediator, and Wabbit bring. Plus the friendships with guys like Pez, NPR, Rascal, and MHS. I like where we're at, even if there are tons of new faces.
The old days and the camaraderie that we all experienced when the board was smaller was wonderful... but growth was inevitable given the quality of the board community here. Also, growth has brought members like the tailgate crew... who add immeasurably to the enjoyment of being a Bronco fan. :)

It seemed very sudden to me as well. I don't think it was about your takes on football but was board related.
I don't remember Ames having a problem. He just stopped posting. I think there is a conspiracy there.

I remember some of the old DPO crowd but never posted much there. I lurked at the Mane for maybe two years before I started posting. I was at the Alt.(whatever) BBS board for nearly seven years. I started posting here because I liked the graphics and easy access.
I think the tools you are using on this version are pretty slick. You work harder than a Hebrew slave to keep this thing going. You should probably havve a panel of posters to test crap out for you before you introduce stuff to the main board.
Rep is for kids. You should let the kids play with it. If you want to clean things up keep it real. Rep is just that. A beauty contest for the ugly people. Let them abuse it. What does it matter?
Why not ID the first 50 posters somehow and let them take pride in that? Why not. It's o.k. to find them on the sort but the Old Mane is the DPO guys that came over back in the day.
I would really like to see an area where they keep technical threads. You could put a draft FAQ, Capology, capture old stats, Fantasy Football, and actually generate some pretty good articles.
These is all just shotgun ideas. Somebody still have to do that hands on work. I'll pitch in. Tell me what you need and I will roll my sleeves up.

Plenty but not much... You'll discover the changes as you use the board. One thing that changed is the speed. We've never been so fast...

I'm not sure what happened either TJ, I just know that he was upset. Maybe not with you, but with the Mane as a whole. I've seen him a time or two on the Freak. I really prefer your style as opposed to places like Fishheaven, Broncosfreak, and a few others that I've visited. You'll even let the trolls go which is kinda fun sometimes... then those bastages stay and it gets old, but that's beside the point! ;D

I think this would be pretty kewl... I guess some of us could just put our "born on dates" under our user names. But I also think it would be neat to see everybody's maybe below rep or something like that. Perhaps TJ could replace rep power w/our born on date. User #41 here.

Not talking about you bro although although I did notice you came out of nowhere on the previous rep and climed up about two pages in a very short time without making many posts. It was about that time that I realized that rep stood for nothing. I had been giving rep only for what I thought a good post.
