Back in September of 1998, my best friend who is a Dolphins fan called me up and wanted to know if I wanted to go see Denver-Miami on MNF on December. It was only going to be the second time Elway and Marino faced off and I said "hell yes"!

I planned the cross country trip from San Diego long before the Broncos were on their undefeated run, but that doesn't mean that game still doesn't piss me off. I wanted to see Griese, Csonka, Warfield, Bouniconti, Langer etc. acting like grumpy old men with their arms folded on the sideline.

All I have to say, **** THE GIANTS. I still remember Phil McConkey waving his towel like a helicopter celebrating their win on the sidelines in Pasadena in XXI. This is no non-chalant non-conference game, this is personal.

Super Bowl 21. When Elway was sacked for a safety. There is a fat ugly Giant b**** cheering in the background. She's wearing a Giant's jersey. I hate her

I support this thread. If I wasn't such a pillar of the community I'd have strangled that bastard to death at the end of the press conference after the game.

I'm serious. John had to literally pin me against the wall and pry the piano wire out of my hands. Bill did his best to talk him into it, but there was no use.

We tried, I guess.

Man, I have a story about the consequences of that game too.

The week leading up to that game, by buddies and I decided that if there was a chance of witnessing history, the last game of an undefeated season, well we were going to be there no matter the cost.

This was back when none of us were making much money, going to college and all, so the $800 dollar price for 6 tickets was a lot to us. Still, NO WAY we were missing it. So we pony up the money for 6 nosebleeds and were pumped as hell. Then we played the Giants, and Kent Graham f*cked us.

We lose the following week to Miami, but nobody cared about that, well ... nobody but me, cause my friends in Florida got to talk all kinds of sh!t to me, but really, we had wrapped up the division, nothing to see here.

So game day arrives. Last game of the season, Seahawks coming to Mile high. Three of our buddies decided that they didn't want to pay the price for the tickets since it wasn't going to be for an undefeated season, so they ask us to scalp their tickets and get back as much money for them as possible. I was disappointed, but I understood, it was a lot of money.

We sell 3 tickets for maybe $100, something like that. Our friends took a loss, but we did the best we could. So we are tailgating, BBQ'ing up some steaks and lobster tails and throwing the football around, just having a great time ... when things started going downhill quickly.

First, I break my finger while playing football in the parking lot. I just continued playing football but only catching with my left hand and tossing it to someone else to throw back. Whenever someone would comment on my ridiculously swollen and purple finger, I told them some Seahawks fans needed to be taught a lesson. =) I went to the hospital the next day and had a screw inserted through my bone.

That wasn't it though, the truly sh!tty part of this story comes when I went to check what seat I was in and couldn't find our tickets in the car. I asked my two other buddies where they were, and they said they had left them on the dashboard. Well, the doors were open in the car and the wind was howling that day, my worst fears were soon realized. The damn tickets had blown away.

Seriously, WTF? I mean, that's some pretty bad luck right there. We spent a good hour walking the parking lot looking for them, never found them. One of my buddies then takes responsibility for leaving the tickets in such a stupid spot, and off he goes in search of the scalpers. He finds the same guy we sold the other 3 tickets to and buys them back for $240. Same tickets he had just given us $100 for.

Silver lining? I witnessed TD break the 2000 yard mark. That was cool.

So yeah, f*ck the Giants.

Yea I was 8 years old at the time and that was the year when I became a broncomaniac. That Giants game in the super bowl made me so mad. Dam LT and Carson made Elway's life hell that day . The Giants, Redskins, and 49ers or always on my bad side.
