Dolphins just sent AJ Feeley to Chargers for basically nothing. Why not give up Phillip River for dolphins round 1 pick or something better.

Dolphins despertely need a QB WTF were they thinking???

San Diego Chargers- Miami Dolphins: The Chargers acquired third-string quarterback A.J. Feeley from the Miami Dolphins in a trade that also involved third-string Chargers quarterback Cleo Lemon, ESPN.com's John Clayton reported.

There was a draft choice involved in the trade but details weren't available. The deal happened as the NFL trade deadline came to a close.

The move to acquire Feeley signifies the Chargers intention to make a decision after the season between Drew Brees and Philip Rivers. Brees is a free agent after the season and he is the current starting quarter

If they got him cheap, this is an excellent move....A decent back up for a third stringer?

Really??? I thought they were pretty high on Fonoti... Unless I'm thinking of another Olineman there in Chargelessland.

San Diego Chargers- Minnesota Vikings: The Chargers have traded guard Toniu Fonoti to the Minnesota Vikings for a seventh-round choice in 2006 that could be upgraded to a sixth-rounder if certain conditions are met, ESPN.com's John Clayton reports.

The Vikings and Saints were the two teams most involved in the final negotiations of the trade that came down within the final half-hour of the trade deadline, which is 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday. Both teams were looking for some help at guard.

Fonoti, 24, is a 6-4, 350-pound mauler who is scheduled to be a free agent after the season. He's expected to be one of the better guards on the market.

Talks of a long-term deal broke up between the Chargers and Fonoti a couple weeks ago. The team was willing to trade him because he was going to leave after the season.

He's been sidelined in the past month because of hand surgery and is about a week away from playing.

He was a second-round choice of the Chargers in 2002.
