...and Branch goes SPLAT.
Maybe Branch dropped that ball because he couldnt tell where the ground was and couldnt tell when he was going to hit it.
Big Al is having a stellar season.

It wouldnt have been the same if Darrent Williams didnt help flip him.
Nice hit by Al though.

Darrent's underneath tackle was a huge part of it.
Eye candy, but unfornately not that big of hit people make it out to be on Al's part.

Al didnt bust the guy's chin like Lynch would have, but he made a play. He did cause that receiver to drop the pass. Notice how far he throws him off of DW's back and how hard Branch hits the ground. Great play by big Al.

I like Al's effort and aggressiveness on how he still went for that tackle even in the middle of the play.
But the thing is no matter how strong or heavy you are, in midair you are a sitting duck.

Sure, but Ive seen receivers pull those balls down. If Al doesnt gratuitiously slam Branch, he could keep that drive alive, but Al made sure that he was going to make it as hard as possible for Branch to make the play.

Yes that was a great play admittedly, but not that great of a smash hard hit. A lot of credit goes up to DW for that.

Bro, you are missing the point of the play.
I like oranges because they are juicy and sweet, but I like Granny Smith apples because they are crisp and tart. It wasnt a hit like the Putzier hit or the countless Lynch pops that we see, but it was a great hit. DW didnt ensure the breakup of the pass, so Big Al comes over and throws Branch from the top rope nearly onto his head. Fierce play.

No you mistunderstand me. I get what you are saying. I'm not trying to take away the importance of that hit so relax.
Yes it was a great play, but not that big of a hit like Atwater on the nigerian nightmare.
It's similar to the Wilson's tackle last year on the Oakland's running back in midair which was a great play for the stuff, but not that big of a hit.

Right...you got it...Wilsons hit doesnt have to be an Atwater/Lynch type of pop to be a good hit. :)
