*** We have a heck of a stable of young DB's. Including Lenny Walls and Curome Cox!
*** Jake can throw a nice deep ball when the ball is dry.
*** Putz can survive a vicious slobber-knocker.

- Mankins deserves a fine

The team is still a work in progress (and when you consider all the changes that is understandible).
The team has a potential to be very good- the best in Defense
The team has the potential to be a top 5 in O (despite all the comments regarding the OL, JP, and AL that are often made in this forum).

*the Browncos are for real (they continue to prove it, I mean)
*Rod Smith isn't the only WR we have
*our run defense is great
*we need to learn to close out games. our offense disappears in the third and fourth quaters constantly

“It worries me,” defensive end Ebenezer Ekuban said. “We can’t get lax. We did that last week. It’s been two weeks in a row, and you know what? One of these days it’s going to catch up to us.”
Linebacker Al Wilson didn’t reminisce about how good Denver looked before the fourth quarter.
“You look at the last quarter,” Wilson said. “You can’t look at the first three quarters.”

Thats one good thing about winning like we did, it will give the D something to work on. It will keep them focused for 4 qtrs for the rest of the year.

I learned:
- Tom Brady is a really good qb.
- Our D is good. If we can get Champ back at 100% it will be great.
- Name qbs get special treatment from refs re holding.
- Plummer can still light it up.
- We need one of the young receivers to step up.
- You can have rb by committee.

*** I learned that our D should only run up and scream in the ear of opposing QBs. If they actually introduce football contact to them they will be flagged an ungodly amount of yards!

I learned that Tom Brady's 'figurative metaphors' really are figurative.
I learned that Tom Terrific isn't nearly as pretty when he's looking out his earhole.

I'm going to pat myself on the back right now. I was pimping Cox before he started playing. :)
That sounded pretty gay... :(

***** I learned that this team can beat any team in the league on any given sunday.
*****I learned to drink beer while keeping my eye on Tatum Bell. If you get too focused on that cold brew you could easily miss an amazing play.
***** I learned that the Broncos are really stepping it up now to get a better understanding of what Broncos fans want. We had "Guest Relations" lady in the parking lot with comment cards for us to fill out. When she walked up I thought to myself "Uh oh what the hell did we do now". Instead she said "Hello Broncos fans are you having a good day? We'd like to get some input from you guys about what we can do better. Something to that effect. This is the first time we have been asked this in 5 years of tailgating while in the parking lot.
*****I learned that the Patriot fans and their stadium have gone thru alot of similar things as us after winning the superbowls. Winning superbowls are great but they do change the dynamics of the fan base and often the stadium itself. We met alot of great Pat fans in the lot and in the stadium.
*****The tailgating crew also learned that we can have a pretty damn big tailgate party and keep everything under control as far as the bus goes. That has been a challenge we finally have a good formula to make the tailgate experience less work and more fun. May not sound like much but we've been at this for awhile now and we are always trying to refine the tailgate. We got it down now. Can't wait to get to the lot in NY!!!!!
Go Broncos!

I have learned:
1. The fans really ARE into the Broncs this year.
2. No matter how well the team plays, half the folk here think the sky is falling.
3. Brady is very tough. I was expecting a YA Tittle picture at any time from the pounding he was taking.

I learned that Logan Mankins has a promising career in the WWF with nut busters like yesterday's.

No better example than Kiszla's moronic gossip column. He spends last week railing that jake was not exciting enough, jake lands some bombs yesterday, and this jagoff goes personal on him.

*** With a 80% healthy Champ on the field we are a better defense...regardless of how well the Rooks are playing***
*** Running the ball, PA, and Bootlegs has become my favorite Sunday Tradition! ***
*** Shanny does not believe in blowing a team out 45-13, he'd rather coast to a 28-20 win***
*** Courtney Brown is one helluva player. Glad he's my adopted Bronco***
*** Chiefs and Chargers are both good teams that will force us to stay sharp all season***
Last but not least
*** Tony Gonzalez is FvCKING UP MY FANTASY TEAM!***

i learned to not be so pessimistic. to be the champs you have to beat the champs. and yesterday they not only beat them they humiliated them for 3.5 quarters. maybe what this team always needed was a monster game every weekend to keep them from losing focus.
i learned the rookies are spunking up the defense. gotta love the attitude.

*****Oops forgot one. I learned that the Raiders are really pathetic and do truly suck. I was giving them some credit thinking that their record doesn't really reflect how bad their team is but even the Raider Nation has accepted the fact that.......
THE RAIDERS SUCK!!!!!!!

No one is booking Detroit trips yet, but there seems to be plenty of folk here that think this is a crappy team that needs to fire all of its players and coaches.

Who are you trying to kid? Fader Nation is too high on crack to even begin to glimpse reality. They still think Stabler is at QB and Madden is just "Miked Up" for their Monday night games.

I learned that Jax improved our quest for PlayoffsHomefield with a win over Pitt (we own Tie breaker)
KC and SD are not going to go away unless we make them.
That Shanny was right not to try and run up the score as we will see the Pats again this year (instead of giving the Pats fuel, Shanny will have this game to remind the team how dangerous they are).

I learned that disco could dance on CBS !! lol

I learned that my 13-3 prediction looks like a great possibility. I also learned that theres a good chance I win $2000 on my Denver to win the superbowl bet. Oh, and I learned MA still serves a purpose... he gives Tatum a breather and provides us all with comic relief.

** learned that team has some game breaker on the team (paging Mr. Bell, Putz and Ashely and Rod)
** that there are TEs on the team, and they can it involved in the passing game.
** That Plummer is going to get WR/TE/RB killed someday.
** To be special this team needs to learn to put teams away, in the fourth quarter with time consuming drives.

*** I learned that it doesn't matter how bad certain stats are as long as you win.
*** I learned that I was right about Jake's deep passes being limited are more a result of the defenses we've played against and less a result of "Jake sucking".
*** I learned that a lot of people on this board think that the only requirement for being a good QB in the NFL is completing the deep ball.
Odysseus
10-18-2005, 02:18 PM
***The fans expectations are off the chart.
***Broncos are not playing to their potential and know it.
***Broncos haven't played anybody yet and they know it.
***Orangemane rocks for fan boards.
***I was right on the money in the offseason. (look it up)
***Our corners are getting much better. I was so glad to get these guys.
***Ian Gold was a worthwhile offseason pickup.
***I am frigging glad that I didn't play FF this year. Holy smackdown!
***All the people crying about paying Bailey are now on their knees.
***Meck and the Orange Force One Crew bring the party! Congrats!
