The Oline has taken a huge amount of abuse by some people in this forum yet..... once again they are one of the best in the league. You can call it scheme or chop blocking or whatever you want but no OLines have done better against quality competition this year.

On Bell's longe runs the last few weeks he has recieved great blocking. On his long run today he was through the line and 5 yards down field before he even saw a defender.

Jake had plenty of time against a team that was blitzing alot.

They are playing great. It's going to be tough if Nalen and Lepsis leave.

I expect both Nalen and Lepsis to be around at least one more year. They are both playing very well. That being said, I do think they need a stud to bring along for the future. It takes time to learn the OL in the NFL.

We are on pace for two backs over 1000 yards so they need their love.

I would love that. I think Lepsis will be back BUT I think Shanny has his mind already made up on Nalen. I think He wants to get a little bigger gueard than Halmilton and move him to center.

Nalen = NAILS

I have to admit, Cooper has been pretty decent this year. He isnt getting alot of attention, which is great. He's doing his job and isnt getting called for holding or getting owned as much as I thought he would.

I gotta eat crow here. I still think this is the weakest link depth wise, but our starters are doing fantastic job!! plummer has time, and both our backs are doing awesome!

Best way to measure this line was IN JAX against the best 2 DT in the league and they slapped those 2 around like rag dolls!

Now that you bring it up. Denver's OLine hasn't been called for hardly any penalties. Last year it was horrible anytime they had a good run it was being called back for holding.

Does anyone think they are holding less or that they are not getting called as much.

I guess most of the holding occurs when a OL is beat or overpowered maybe they are in better position this year and not getting beat so in turn not holding. Whatever it is the lack of holding penalties on the OL is huge.

Depth wise... well, yeah since Denver has only kept two other lineman. Shanny has really gambled here. Seeing Cornell Green playing gave me the shivers. I mean he might be a great player but that scared me. I'm glad Foster is OK.

Yeah I know I know. I'll eat my crow soon enough damn it.

I still think we need to address the line though and get some more talent. We are paper thin on depth.

I was paying close attention to George Foster this week after reports he was ailing some.

He was fantastic...I saw him blow only one pass block, and watched him open some great running lanes all day.

He took a whack to a knee, but, luckily, had a stretch brace on, so, while he will ache some, he won't miss any time...or so I heard on KOA radio.

I'm still really, really glad we used a first on this guy. He'll be around for another decade.

I noticed last year that in certain games Denver's OL would not only have lots of holding penalties but they were also overpowered. This year they have played much better. The only difference being Cooper Carslisle. Last year I got so tired of Hamilton being pushed into the backfield I was more than ready to see him go in the offseason. Needless to say All of the lineman have played just great. Major props to all of them.
