Let's see what the powers that be have decided whats best for us to watch this week around the country.

Starting off I got the Giants and Cowboys on Fox and the Jags and Steelers on CBS. Not bad. Cowboy/Giant game is a good rivalry and should make for a good game. The Jags and Steelers should be a good hard fought game.

Afternoon I am blessed this day. The powers that be have decided that the Patriots and Broncos are the best bet this afternoon. :woowoo !

I lived with not being able to see my team play every week for most of my life, I will never go back to being force fed the Redskins and Cowboys here again.

Sunday ticket is pricey and I hope one day cable and Dish get to carry it to to create competition and lower the price but until then I am gonna have it.

I'm feelin ya Alec. I finally get to see a nationally broadcast Broncos game on Sunday. I have the same lineup that you do.

So the local bigwigs arent forcing you to watch the Texans this weekend?

Yeah, **** all of you with Sunday ticket, Im not talking about you a-holes.

I dumped Dishnetwork just to get the NFL Ticket several years ago. Worth it IMO, but I was pissed they charge extra for the HD games this year, that SuperFan package for $99 is BS if you ask me, although I did get a letter from DirecTv saying I get it for like $49.00 next year.

Well, I had Sunday Ticket last year and would have got it this year had DirectTV not automatically billed me for it.

I dont want automatically billed. I want to be asked whether or not I want the package every year. Had they asked, I would have said yes. Instead, they tried to steal my money so I told them to **** off.

Worth it IMO. So I dont get to watch every single game, with the torrent sites now, I do get to watch them the Thursday afterwards anyway.

I live in St Petersburg Florida.....

I have the Sunday Ticket though and it is worth every penny!!!

The Broncos game is televised locally over here though (which is rare since they typically broadcast Bucs, Dolphins, and Jaguar games)

The Bucs PLAY the Dolphins this week so I guess that kind of freed up a extra slot for a non Florida game.

The thing that sucks about DTV owning the rights to the NFL Ticket is the fact that their service goes out so often... in some parts anyhow. I didn't have that problem too much in Houston. It took a pretty good storm to lose my signal. But here in Amarillo, for whatever reason it doesn't take much. Being that the last two months of football are in the poorer weather season I find it hard to understand why they wouldn't allow cable networks to carry their package. I'd buy it in a heart beat if they provided it through my cable company.

They're not trying to steal your money Alec. It's set up that way so that you don't have to sign up for it again every year. Convenient if you ask me. If you don't want it anymore you simply call or go online or whatever and cancel it.

Convenient? Look, when you purchase something thats several hundred dollars one year, thats well and good. I want to re-sign up every year. Money was loose last year, not so much this year. Times change. Now if I was a baller then yes, that would be fine. But them ****ing thiefs tried to steal my money. ASK before you take. ****erheads.

Yes a storm blocking the signal is a problem at times, get a bigger dish (they sell them) more surface area = better signal.

It may go out some but just think, somebody here hits a telephone pole and the cable may be out 6 hours.... I will take my chances with the DTV

I hace cable and DTV. Houston storms usually arent bad enough to kill a signal, but every now and then it will dump rain so heavy down here there is no TV for hours.

So I go to the backup cable plan.

Ummm... basic Comcast cable showing Chargers Oakland at 1 instead of the Broncos. I'm stuck either:

- shelling out 20 bucks at a bar
- listening with a eight-minute delay at denverbroncos.com's GDX KOA broadcast
- sitting in my car with Sirius Satellite Radio and suffocating
- or trying to spend some energy finding Westwood One

Any ideas?
