Seems like he´s in worse condition than everyone thought. It seems like they have called a 5pm press conference in which Martz will either resign or take a medical leave of absence. No link yet, but they´re talking about it on Rams forums and it was on the radio in St. Louis, too.

Good maybe they'll run the ball more

I know...I'm a bastard.

I feel bad for him, but the Rams are better off.

Last I heard, it was in the medical leave category.

Well I just heard on NFL Network that he is gone for the year, and their assistant HC will take over for now.

Damn that sucks.

Hope he recovers from this.

I hope the best for Martz. Even though I don't care for the guy, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. With that being said, this could end up being a good thing for the Rams. The playcalling and gameplanning may finally improve with someone else calling the shots.

It could be worse. He could've gotten fired before this condition was diagnosed. How he has kept that job since the worst game plan ever in a Super Bowl I'll never know.

Hopefully he recovers and goes on to replace Vermeil in KC.

Endocarditis = badness

Ususally requires a new valve, if they survive.

My prayers are certainly with Martz and his family

He needs to resign, get healthy and worry about coaching later on. My prayers are with the Martz family.

Hope he recovers from this, I've had some heart surgery in my days and it's a scary friggin thing.

ESPN says that he might be back in 4 to 6 weeks.

Let's sign him just to hold the playbook on Sunday. This would not only get Jake off his ass, but would get Kub back where he belongs with the QB's teaching Jake how to 'complete a pass' according to Martz.

Eh I don't know. Word on the streets in St. Louis is this is a front to hide the real issue that the Rams want to get rid of Martz. I'm sure he's sick but there may be more to this story than is being reported.

Awful. Oakland's gameplan against Tampa was pitiful too.
