Who the Freak is Chris Cooley & why was he making plays all freaking day? you think they would have covered him at some point in the game. That guy deserves the Foreskin game ball.
Gibbs saw something underneath & this guy caught balls all night long. Who is this guy & where did he come from. Wonder if he is a one game wonder.

We traded our 2nd round pick in this last draft for the rights to draft him in the 3rd round of the previous draft. he led all TE's in NCAA in receptions his senior year.
He is ideal for Joe Gibbs H-Back system and was pretty much our only TD threat last year (6TD's). He worked on his speed this year and it is starting to show.
He played his ball at Utah State.
Also, since Denver is the closest stadium to his home in Utah he bought 60 tickets for his family to attend the game.

Nobody. fact is hardly any teams really utilize the TE except for a select few and Gibbs decided to utilize his TE which Denver wasnt expecting.

Far from a one-game wonder...
He had 6 TDs last year.

You're right, he's a player. Cooley was the Skins' third round pick last season and he quietly put scored 6 TDs as a rookie. The Chiefs would have been better off taking Cooley over Kris Wilson as their H-back last season.
Cooley and Kevin Curtis were pass catching machines at Utah State but they went unnoticed on the national stage and both of them are becoming household names in the NFL.

Hardly..he has 197 recieving yards in 4 games on 17 catches. He's a stud.

Thanks for info!
I don't follow 3rd round TE prospects.
BTW if my name was Coolie I would change it to Anus. That is how I roll.

Hello of a TE...I was hoping Denver was going to draft him.

yeah cooley has quietly been performing good for us. as for kevin curtis, he's a wideout for the rams now. he is a pretty dependable target for us in the red zone. so far he only has 1 td catch, but he's also freed things up for mike sellers (2 td catches) and robert royal (1td catch), royal is listed as the starter at tight end though. i consider cooley more of a tight end then h-back though.

The Broncos and Redskins probably ran more H-back sets than any other teams when the position became popular in the 80s. San Diego, too.
