Were they bad? forget sacks, how many pressures? And did the Redskins constantly max protect? Did Coyer go crazy with the damn zone blitzes, putting engleburger on Coolie? Can't see the game out here, please fill me in if you can. Thanx.

PS - I'm only interested in knowing about the D-line, since thats all that matters going into December and beyond.

The Skins had 7 and 8 guys blocking on most of the pass plays.

And I think most on this board will talk about many, many holding calls that weren't made.

d-line did their job out there today. It wasn't anything like the K.C. game but thats mostly because they aren't a secret anymore and the skins used a lot of blockers in on most playes. Also the weather contributed to the lack of pressure and sacks.

i agree. If it wasn't for the rain I think the Broncos win by 2 Td's

The O has advantage in games like this, sloppy condition help the folks who know where there going. But there was pressure today a lot but Brunell was able to get rid of the ball to his check down reciever or throw it away. The zone blitz needs to go!!!!

Yep - more uncalled holding than I have seen in a long time.

It was a wet day and that favors the o-linemen....the d-line was awesome for such a nasty wet game. Brunell threw it to no one several times...even got called for grounding once...and made an illegal forward pass. You can't look at this stuff as sack and tackles....you just can't....and when you consider we have rookie corners playing...this is going to be a strong unit if they keep their wind and don't get gased deep in the season.

Hell Brown blocked a field goal...that's great defense because it rarely happens at this level.

Rep. People forget hurries, throw-aways, and holds.

This is the first year in a while I didn't feel like we would loose the game near the end if we weren't up by at least 2 touchdowns. Last year we would go into that stupid Prevent Defense and the other team would end up scoring on us. Keep the pressure up guys, so far, so good!

And really...they stopped them three times on that finally drive including the 2 point stop...

The other factor is that Denver corners gave a larger cushion then they have in last couple of week due to the weather and the speed of the skins recievers. That allowed the underneath passing game.

Our O was the let down today. They should have been able to capitalize on the elements like Washington did: it's near impossible to pass rush or play pass defense in these elements. But instead our small handed QB and finesee WR couldn't get it done. I am 10X more concerned about Jake's performance than I was the DL. Jake should have had a field day today. (For as much as I defended Lelie last week, he made me look bad today as well).
