Yeah and the D gave up 450+ yards. I'm still kind of scratching my head on how Denver won this game. You look at the stats and have to almost say Washington wins going away if you didn't know any better.

The team usually never plays the 'bend but dont break' strategy. But today thats exactly what happened. The team just made enough plays to pull it out, and the D kept forcing FG's rather than TD's.

What a difference those "pathetic" linemen from Cleveland have made. Gee... I wonder why they play so much better now?

Washington has a good chance of beating KC, particularly with the way Brunell is playing. Portis is likely to have his break out game next week against the ever daunting KC run defense, which would do me a world of good.

Washington will come in confident from the way they hung in there in tough conditons today, and while narrowhead is a tough place to play, its not as tough as Denver and they will be anxious not to go 3-2.

Shawn Springs will be at full tilt next week for Washington too as will their other corner. KCs best chance is that maybe two tough road trips back to back is too much for Washington wqhile you guys are coming back from a two werek siesta, but dont count on it. If they we playing at Fed EX Field, KC would lose for sure.

We should send a welcoming committee for Clinton

Did you know the Chiefs run defense is currently ranked 10th at 94.5 yards per game? Outside of the Denver game, they've been terrific.

Actually, I'll be pulling for the Skins. Draft choice or NO, I always pull for the opponent of the other AFC west teams, unless two are playing each other.
Whatever helps US in the standings.

Here's to CP chalking up 200 and 3 TD's next week!

Exactly. When the rain hit in that game (and it was FAR worse), the stadium didn't empty out.

That was our 17-6 win over Seattle in 1998.

Two completely different teams. Washington doesn't have the offense that Philly does, but their defense is waaay better. I'll bet Dallas thinks differently than you do after playing both of them.

All that picture proves to me is that Narrowhead is part of the sewer system. And I'd bet that even those dumb folks in the picture were trying to get out. The doors might be one-way valves, who knows.

It's been a cold, wet and generally miserable day along the front range today. I don't know what the game time temperatures were but it's supposed to turn over to snow tonight with 4-8 inches likely. Anybody who's been in temps in the 40's, soaked and suffering the wind chill knows bad it was today.

Science lesson...water is a far better thermal conductor than air.

I'm going to have to stay up late and watch the game when I get home from work. My main concern is how both lines played in adverse conditions. This is the same issue they had last year as the season went on (e.g. Oakland here). The O-line couldn't get any push or open any holes against the bigger and more physical D-lines and the Denver D-line couldn't push the bigger, blah, blah O-lines. The new D-line shouldn't have that problem. The current O-line is much the same as last year.

Those that watched the action in the trenches, what did you see??
