Yeah, Duke will be on the PS. Smart move for them to release him on Sunday. Sundays and Mondays are a pretty busy time for teams to think about signing guys to their PS or active roster.

I am surpised more people haven't commented on this move today. I have been spoiled by Shannon Sharpe and even though Putz is serviceable, I don't perceive him as the long-term answer. For the last month, I was perceiving Duke as possibly that guy but this is not a ringing endorsement for him.
We are a long ways away from April, but don't rule out Denver in the Mercedes Lewis sweepstakes.

Lewis is a very good reciever (despite getting shut down by the Golden Bears), but he has a long ways to go as a blocker. This is homer, but wait another year for Greg Olsen.

Basically, he's Ben Troupe II but I love the Titans TE.
Nice suggestion, SoCal. Olsen is a redshirt sophomore so don't rule out the 2006 draft. He might have to pick up his play to make it worthwhile, though.

We don't need any pass catching TE's if we're not going to include them in the gameplan. How many times have we even thrown to the TE in the last few weeks? I remember Putz's reception and one incompletion to Alexander in the Skins game.
I hope Duke does wind up back on the PS, if we can invest season after season in that god awful Lenny Walls the least this kid deserves is a year on the PS and see if he can make the roster next year.
