Is anyone else sick of Chargers hype? They are 2-2 and tied for second in their own division. Give me a break...

I'd rather have them be hyped than Denver to be honest. I'd prefer it if Denver could just quietly go about their buisness and take care of each opponent as they are presented.

They are in the limelight right now because they just smacked the defending SB champs and they are playing on MNF this week. Let them have their 10 minutes, they may very well be 2-3 after Monday Night.

I completely agree. There are a few eyebrows we've raised, but that Boltz win turned enough heads to keep the hype off us.

WHat happened to the "I root for the Raiders or Chiefs"?

"The Raiders, Broncos, and Chiefs will be forced to chop, release, massage and shave talent in every area they can find. Their position could also hinder their ability to be quite active in the open market."
Wow, I've never heard this before. When was the last time we heard that we weren't over the cap in the offseason? One way or another, it always gets addressed, and we end up at least semi-active in getting players.

I don't think it's a bad article. And their 2 victories have been impressive. If anything I think the Chargers are fairly disrepected. -- Which shouldn't happen until MartyBallChoke Time, then it's fair game.
But I don't like seeing all that cap room. They've drafted fairly well recently. Building a solid, young team will be good. Look at the age on KC's roster.
Most of the Power Polls have teams ranked high that the Chargers would smack.

Elway can't win it all, has become Denver can't win it all without Elway. That kind of attitude towards us has worked in the past.

How the hell did they lose that Cowboys game?
Dallas is just a bad team from what I saw.

I said from the very beginning that Dallas was vastly overrated.
As for the Chargers....Veni, Vidi, Vici.

What a joke, The broncos had no money under the cap for last three years and yet they still find away to get players in and field quility product. All of sudden Shanahan and Sandquest (spelling) forgot to manage the cap???? What an a$$. And for the Dolts, call me when they actually do something.

I'm curious why Courtney wasn't mentioned among the guys with high cap numbers. I have a hard time believing that Denver guaranteed the bonus he's due this offseason (meaning it's already been prorated out for cap purposes).
MA ($2.565M) and Lynch ($2.9M) should be mentioned as possible casualties since they're both in the last year of their deals and there's no money there to accelerate. Denver would save their entire base salary. House is another guy in his final year, but only makes $770k.

The Chargers are i believe the second best team in our division so they do deserve the some respect, they scare me alot more than the chiefs or raiders.

Which is good by me. This team seems to be taking that "Us against the world" mentality to heart.

This was worth a thread?
There sure are some childish and inane threads started on this board.
Better threads get moved right off page one for childish threads like this and the "Portis on NFL Network" children's thread, among others. Post stuff like this on existing threads.
Edit: changed "crap" to "stuff" in last sentence.

Cripes, is EVERYONE jamming Pittsburgh down our throats on primetime? (they play the Bolts). Seems like every freaking time I turn around I'm seeing black and gold...
And don't worry about Sandy Eggo. The minute they lose these same 'experts' will pick the raiders to win the division. :boohoo:

Then why chime into a worthless conversation? Talking about a rival in our division isn't good enough for you?
hmmm...

When the media removes it's collective nose from NE/Tom Brady's collective arse (which is coming, they WILL start losing more games) the truth will be realised.
It was a good victory from the Chargers though, still gonna be our main rivals for the top of the pile this season.
They are better than the Faiders or Cheaps anyway.

Chargers scored 89 points in two games against the giants, whos defense is usually solid, and the patriots, who were formerly great, now just good. People forget this "awesome" Charger offense got held to nothing in denver through 2.5 qtrs of play. whatever works for the media.
