Well I don't know how you share files that you allready have, but if you download a file, all you have to do is just let it run when you get done downloading it.

If you dont share, you wont get the file very fast. Thats how it works. If you open your pipeline up (Gonzo does this every night to his boyfriend), the more you share the more you get back.

When you're done downloading it will move the file down into the seeders colum Just don't stop it and you will be sharing. You can open and view the game while you share. This is how it is when using Azerous, which I recomend. I assume it is like this with most bittorent clients.

Are you sure? Cause I keep my upload speed to about 6KB/sec and I've been well over 200KB/sec on downloading. I haven't noticed a difference no matter where I set my upload speed at.

My upload speed isn't very good. I only like to use about half of it while I'm using the computer for other stuff at the same time. When I go to bed, I'll set it back up to max. Also, I upload at the very least the size of the file before I stop. So to hell with both of ya. Nnyah!

If you have DSL this site is a big help getting your ports set up right (forwarded) .

Dont ask me what the hell it means, I just know that with Azerus you're little smiley face will never turn green if your modem/router doesnt have the ports configured properly.

DSL was a pain in the ass to get set up, unless you know about how ports work and firewalls and crap.

I could only get a yellow face until I forwarded my 6081 port or whatever the hell it was.

I'm using a netgear router that is very easy to configure. Got the whole house hooked up wireless with it.

And it is port 6881 through 6885. That is what I have fowarded. That and port 80. Port 80 is my incoming TCP listen port. You should try those and be sure the TCP listen port you are using in your azureus program is forwarded in your router. The default that they use didn't work for me so I just changed it to 80.

Damn... I had been putting off jumping into the whole bittorrent game for a while now... the files I always wanted (new music, TV shows occassionally) I could always find on certain message boards where somebody else would grab it off the torrent and upload it to yousendit, or rapidshare, and post for more public distribution.
