This was a character win. A win that shows that this can be one of the best teams in the league. This game had "let down" written all over it. It came after a great win, a short week, and it was a trip back to Florida, where the Broncos always lose. The Broncos always lose these type of trap games. That's what seperates this team from the best teams in the league. The Broncos have been one of the better teams over the past couple of years. But the best teams are the teams that can make it to the conference title games. The best teams find a way to win the trap games. The Pats just about always win the trap games (except for today). The Eagles win the trap games. The Broncos need to win those games. I knew the Broncos were a better team than the Jags, but this morning I didn't feel good at all about this game. Then the Broncos go out and control the game damn near from the start. This win will take the Broncos a long way. They aren't one of the best teams yet. They are still capable of dropping a turd like they did in week one. But right now I'd say they are on the right track to being one of the best teams. They have some really tough games coming up. The Pats in a couple weeks, and the Eagles aren't too far down the road. Those games will really show us if this team is one of the best teams, or if they are just one of the better teams. For today, I'm glad to see that they won a trap game. That lets us know they are going in the right direction. It's a much better feeling seeing how the season started.

In all seriousness, we can go into our bye 7-1. Giants and Eagles scare me the most though, before the bye that is. I would definitely take 6-2 going into the bye though.
And to sum it all up, if we don't go 8-0 at home this year, we better go at least 7-1. Jets and Ravens have looked DREADFUL this year so far, and we were scared to begin the season about them. Win our home games, split away, thats 12-4 record. I will take that to the bank any day, and the way this team is playing, that doesn't seem too far fetched.

If this team continues to play the way they did today, there's no reason they can't go 14-2. However, I want to see them get passed some scrubs without tanking the game before I buy into how good they look so far.

We're coming up on the hardest stretch here. We got both Super Bowl teams, a pretty stout Defense in the Redskins and the Giants look like they are coming together. The next four look tough, but after the next four, there isn't a team there that scares me. Maybe the Chargers away.

Honestly looking at the schedule, and I hate to do this, but what games scare you after the bye? I know division games are tough, but we should be able to handle our division foes. Jets are in complete disarray, Ravens are as well so to speak. Cowboys have not looked good really that much except some points on defense. Buffalo? Lost Takeo Spikes and JP Losman is as much as the reincarnation of Kenny Stabler as I am.
Really hoping our team continues to play top notch like this and we'll see a home game at Mile High in January.

skins look like a team that will meet a team that runs the ball, and backhands people on defense, and collapse. perhaps denver is such a team?

I learned my lesson about looking ahead last year. That schedule looked so easy, I thought they were going to march to the playoffs nearly untested. But then some teams that sucked the year before became better, and beat the Broncos. You never know what could happen. A team like the Giants can come together and start playing very well. Looks like a game that the Broncos should win now, but who knows what either team will be like when that game comes around. There is no point in looking ahead. Take them one game at a time. This week it's the Skins. That's all that matters. A loss there and there won't be any talk about teams not scaring us.

We just need to ride the momentum as far as it takes us. Something tells me this D is not going to letup until they get a shutout. They really do look pissed anytime anyone scores anything. Perfection is unattainable..be humble.

Agreed. Ride it one game at a time. I think if they start looking ahead on the schedule and over look games that they should win, they'll end up losing games. They are on a high. They should be looking at this game only, and not anything past it.

I bet it screwed up everybody's pick 'ems. How often does a first place team play the spoiler role? That shows the lack of respect that the Broncos have been getting.

the Skins radio guys are pretty worried about this week. The only health corner they have is Rogers and Sean Taylor may have hurt his shoulder....It's Lelie time...

I don't think I was showing them any disrespect by taking Jacksonville...Especially with how well DEN played the last time they traveled to FLA....And JAX has been playing great Defense all year...Relax people...you just got a win...you should be happy.

It better be....Lelie has been stinking up my #3 WR spot so far. I think I've only gotten around 3 or 4 pts total for the year from him....

Not after seeing that fiasco. Look...I'm not here to start trouble...You had a great win yesterday and I'm just here to offer congrats...that's all...Peace.

Agreed. I jumped on that wagon last year and was eatin' my words a few weeks later. One game at a time for me.

I'm not getting on you about it. To be honest, most of us around here didn't feel too good about the game. We all thought the Broncos were the better team, but it was a trap game. Short week after a huge win, and on the road. That game had loss written all over it. So we're all feeling pretty good right now.

That's just a game we like to play here. Who can get banned the fastest over there at finsheaven. The game started when a few of us got banned when we weren't even being trolls. I got banned for BS reasons over there. The mods get bent out of shape over a little friendly trash talking. So we just started to see who can get banned the fastest. Somebody over here got banned after one post. I got banned after a few days. Like I said, it was over BS reasons.
