What's your honest prediction for the game Sunday?

Come on the Broncos!!!

I voted too close to call. Three big factors against the Broncos in this game.

1 - We're coming off an emotional win against a division rival.

2 - We're traveling across country after a Monday Night game.

3 - We're going to Florida while its still hot and humid. If you don't know the history, you're a casual Bronco fan at best.

Also, our offense tends to struggle against defenses with big physical DTs. Henderson is Pro Bowl caliber and Stroud is All Universe.

On the other side of the ball, Leftwich gets better every week. We'll need the same kind of pass rush we got against the Chiefs. Leftwich won't curl up into the fetal position the way TrINT did, disgracefully, on national television.

Denver wins by less then a TD ........
2 things that are given here , this will be a defensive game , ball control , the less we rely on Jake the better ( not slamming jake , but Jaxs D did a # on Manning ) Watch turn overs , pound the ball early and often , somthing will break late for our offense we can take advantage of .......
On Defense Keep fred taylor in check , if baily is out , play safe ...... WIN field position battle , this is a must ........

Too close to call. Not that I ever make predictions, they're all too close to call, IMO. I'll be happy with hard play, not taking any crap, execution, no penalties, win the TO battle, win the field position battle, and let the chips fall where they may.

Jags by less than a TD>

And that is definitely through rose colored glasses. I really have very little feel for how this one will turn out. I do think that if they come out and win, the season is looking pretty good right about now. It's a tough place for them to play, against a tough defense - it would show that the momentum they have built in the past six quarters is more than just an aberration. On the other hand, if they lose, I won't be that surprised, and I won't feel that we know all that much more about them than we did prior to, say, Kansas City.

But my week will be much happier if they win, and that should at least merit some consideration on their part, shouldn't it?

Thats a fairly good analysis but I think you put too much stock into Jax's offense. I doubt we let them in the endzone. If we can hold them to two or fewer fieldgoals we will win the game because I see a deep ball to Lelie coming in this game for a TD. Might be all we get, but that might be enough.

I said Broncos by more than a td. But im a freaking homer.

Taking off the glasses, i say its too close to call. Jags will play very hard as usual. For us to win, we must take advantage of the field postion were given. Neither D will let in long drives so winning the field position battle is a must. We also have to match the intensity level of the jags, getting off to a slow start could kill us, so a fast start and making them one dimensional is key.

I certainly don't mean to overrate them. The offense is pedestrian, but its getting better as their young players develop. I'm just saying we'll have to legitimately knock Leftwich out of the ballgame. He won't just curl up like a baby, TrINT Green style, if the going gets tough for him.

Good points by all. I also would say it's too close to call, but I don't have agreat feeling about this one. If we can get a win or keep it very close near the end I think we are bound for another playoff run.

We'll see what kind of stuff this team is made of!

I'll give you Leftwhich's toughness. And I doubt we can knock him out of the game, but that O-line wont provide much protection for him and even with Champ out, I think we can get the better matchup in the secondary on them IF Leftwhich is consistently pressured, sacked, harrassed, hurried and otherwise disrupted.

Im more concerned about offensive turnovers in this game. Jax has a great defense and if the run game doesnt get going, Jake will turn the ball over in the attempt to try to get something accomplished. if we fall behind early, we are in deep doo doo.

On the plus side, we wont have a smurfy Q running the ball this year against them. Q must still hold a grudge after Shanahan fed him to the beast.

Heat, humidity, short week, tough defense. If we can run the ball, take our orange jerseys just in case they decide to wear white (i'm not superstitious), and pressure Leftwich we'll win it in a close one.

We're facing a very solid team at home.

I say we see alot of Bronco blitzs and a very ugly game that comes down to whos the better come back QB...Leftwich or the Snake...

Our offense dosent look good vs thier D and same for them. This is going to be a low scoring D fest. The better D wins it!

Odds are against us because of the location but the temp is only going to be 81, Field temp will be hotter but still thats not going to be a 112 game. Its not going to be a game until the fourth quarter when someone decides to step up or the other wares down. Odds are in the Jags favor but I think the stars of the game are Champ who played the majority of his carrier on the East coast and our two florida LBs Gold and Williams, lets not forget Lynch either. We have some guys on D who are used to the florida weather so as long as Champ stays in the game and Darrant plays like he did vs KC we play smart football and make plays when they present themselves we have a chance.

17-13 JAX if Bailey and Williams don't play. If Williams plays I'd say 14-13 JAX still, if Bailey and Williams play its 24-13 Broncs win.

Our defense is going to be real hurt if Champ doesn't play, it'll cost us field position and probably at least one turnover. But then, he's only worth sending out there if he's healthy, I just wish he hadn't gotten hurt in such a total blowout.

Oline & our RB starter need to be in sync & we need to be able to run the ball. I hope Mike does not keep trying to run inside like he did last year.

I would start MA & probe thier D a little with him in the game & then put Bell in to actually exploit what he uncovers. We will need a lot of motion this week as our O line cannot push these guys back or out of their gaps. I am still waiting on a well timed screen pass or 2 as well as chucking a couple deep to ASH. Darius being out should help in the perimeter run game. Our D needs to get us the ball back on 3 & outs, turnovers won't help much if O cannot get points off them. I hope Coyer lets the D lose as he has in last 2 games & does not decide to go back to zone dogs in FL AGAIN! I bet we rely on Jakes arm & I hope he is ready & can execute. Would be a good week to get TE's into passing game. Sorry didn't intend the big breakdown just sort of happened!

IF the game was in Denver, I would take the Donks but since it's in FLA, I will take the Jags by 7

If the team we saw in Miami shows up...well...it's a blowout. If the team we saw in the last 6 quarters wasn't a fluke, and williams and bailey can limp out there...we will win. It's that simple. It's a tossup but I picked denver in a close one. If we don't come out flat he have a very good chance. Sometimes you can tell in the first quarter. I was almost writing off the season at the half against San Diego, but someone said something somewhere at the half. I guess Coyer broke down...and literally begged them to get off their asses. I guess when Larry cries, people listen...unlike Dick4Meal who cries reading Hallmark birthday cards. Larry doesn't seem like a "touchy feeley" guy, so it must of gotten their attention. All I know is there was a pardadim shift since that halftime. I have never, ever seen a team go from shiat to shinola after the half, ESPECIALLY Denver. We usually come out flat as hell after the half.

This is an inferior O, especially considering that their OL is hurting. Denver's record in FL concerns me, but there is really no reason this team should not beat the Jags by at least 1 TD. KC's OL is much superior to the Jags, and they could barely handle (maybe not at all) the Denver DL. An injured Jags line should be easy pickings for Denver's DL. Also, I think the running game this year is better than last year's (at the same game).

Champ is probably out for this game which brings the first problem for the Broncos, Lenny Walls. I hate to put so emphasis on one player but if Lenny starts, I'm sure the Jaguars will throw to Lenny's side quite a bit and on the other side they have a rookie to throw at in DW. I actually trust DW more than Walls though. But Rookies still make mistakes.

The passing game of the Jags could be the key for this game. Remember Champ doesn't need any help on his side which frees up a safety to play more towards the line of scrimmage. If Champ doesn't play the Broncos will probably play more zone coverage and eliminate some of the blitzing package that we've seen the last 6 quarters. A more conservative approach, in my opinion, plays against the Broncos strength. The defensive gameplan will be altered some if Champ doesn't play.

The Jags are banged up on the Offensive line. That's a positve. Leftwich has been sacked 11 times this year so the protection hasn't been great for him this year. The dude is almost like a statue in the pocket but he has no problem taking a lick waiting for his receivers to come open.

When the Broncos have the ball we have to run the ball against that monstrous D line. Can Anderson hit the first cutback seam when it opens? Probably not most of the time. I think someone like Bell would be the perfect back here against the Jags but Shanny trusts Anderson right now. I hope if Anderson struggles that Shanny doesn't hesitate to bring Bell in. I'd even take Dayne over Anderson in this game.

I think the keys to the game are:

1. Establish the run/Eat clock

2. Pass Rush

3. Lenny Walls.

If Champ plays I think the Broncos win. 21-18.

If Walls Plays I think the Broncos lose 28 - 21.

That's what I think.

I just heard that Champ and Williams are out. Is this true? If so I'd say that we will really see what out D line can do today. Can Foxworth and Walls handle this? Whew.
