The Broncos reportedly got good news on Champ Bailey's MRI results. Now the question is whether the star cornerback can tough it out and play through another injury.

According to the Denver Post, Bailey's exam showed he didn't tear his hamstring. While Bailey might miss some time, his agent wouldn't be surprised if the cornerback toughed it out this Sunday against the Jaguars.

"I wouldn't bet against Champ," Jack Reale told the Post. "He's going to try, and we all know that he hasn't missed a game."

Bailey hurt himself in the second quarter of Denver's 30-10 win over Kansas City on Monday night, aggravating an injury that forced him out of the entire preseason.

"It's sore," Bailey said after the game. "But I'm not really worried. I just want to know what's wrong so I can start taking care of it."

In the season opener, Bailey dislocated his left shoulder. He returned a week later -- faster than expected -- and has played the last two games wearing a harness to protect the shoulder.

He was injured Monday while going low to make a tackle on fullback Tony Richardson. He was grimacing as he came off the field. After spending a little time on the sideline, Bailey went to the locker room for the rest of the game.

"My mind-set is taking it one day at a time," Bailey said. "That's all I can do."

great news, I wonder if he's badass enough to play sunday. I'd say just rest, we've got some killer games coming up...

I would say rest too but I have said the same thing about his shoulder injury, he is a gamer. Champ is getting beat up needs to rest this week and heal up so we can have him for the long run instead of the short-term. Its another critical game this week because it is possible we could come out on monday with a one game lead over the queefs.

I noticed gaping holes in the secondary when Champ went out. I hope it was because the Broncos went to soft coverage.

I think we should be fine without champ, d-line is playing great and Leftwich is banged up.

I think it was because the Broncos went to soft coverage. Having said that, Walls better learn how to tackle or else we're in trouble. Our D-line is playing lights out right now and there are going to be a lot of hurried throws. So long as the secondary makes the initial tackle we'll be fine short term. No one is asking Walls to be Champ Bailey, but as soon as the ball is thrown his way he's got to make that tackle. Our D-line is playing well enough that even an average corner will get us by so long as they don't miss tackles or gamble trying to be exactly like champ.

I will admit I have no idea what he's gonna do, I really thought he would be affected by his seperated shoulder and guy has shown NO affects from that injury. The guy is a warrior. Although I've never injuryed a hamstring ;D I would think that it would be an injury that you can't just gut through...if your not up to par...everyone will find out on the first go route they run at you.

I hope he doesn't aggravate it just for the streak....better sit a week...or two then blow it and loose him for year....though I can't see him sitting if he thinks he can go...

would it be a classless move to play the first play of the game just to say he "started" 100 games ?....

Yes, unless he kicks off or returns the kick.

I wouldn't do it, that's for sure. I don't think Champ would either.
