The Broncos reportedly got good news on Champ Bailey's MRI results. Now the question is whether the star cornerback can tough it out and play through another injury.
According to the Denver Post, Bailey's exam showed he didn't tear his hamstring. While Bailey might miss some time, his agent wouldn't be surprised if the cornerback toughed it out this Sunday against the Jaguars.
"I wouldn't bet against Champ," Jack Reale told the Post. "He's going to try, and we all know that he hasn't missed a game."
Bailey hurt himself in the second quarter of Denver's 30-10 win over Kansas City on Monday night, aggravating an injury that forced him out of the entire preseason.
"It's sore," Bailey said after the game. "But I'm not really worried. I just want to know what's wrong so I can start taking care of it."
In the season opener, Bailey dislocated his left shoulder. He returned a week later -- faster than expected -- and has played the last two games wearing a harness to protect the shoulder.
He was injured Monday while going low to make a tackle on fullback Tony Richardson. He was grimacing as he came off the field. After spending a little time on the sideline, Bailey went to the locker room for the rest of the game.
"My mind-set is taking it one day at a time," Bailey said. "That's all I can do."
