Griese is showing that Shanahan actual knew what he was doing selecting him in the draft. Most folks thought he would be career back-up or out of the league in 3 years. He might not be an elite QB, but is in the upper half of starter in the league.

Anyone see the int Peyton threw? Guy is making some bad decisions. Three white shirts surrounding Marvin and he forces the ball in there expecting Harrison to make the play. Raiders go up 7-0

Anybody catch the beginning of this one? How ridiculous was that??

Akers kicks off, strains sore hamstring. (Eagles offside/re-kick)

Akers, obviously in pain & can barely walk kicks off....goes down holding hammy and barely gets kick off. (Eagles offside/re-kick)

Longsnapper kicks off, ball goes out of bounds. raiders get possession @ the 50.

I hope we don't hear this week how tough Akers was for 'gutting it out'. He obviously hurt the team as well as himself by going out there. Only time will tell how badly.

I think kickers face a lot of pressure when it comes to playing with injuries. In most cases, they have no legitimate backup on the roster. Also, its a pride thing. The other players already look down on them because they don't get hit.

Eggs Ackley.

Shanahan gets a lot of grief for some of his coaching moves (some of the inactives/actives during the miami game for one), but I doubt he would have gone into a game knowing a back-up LB would be handling our kicking game.

I can't believe the Bears didn't make a run at Warner or Garcia.

You have to feel bad, because it's really just the qb position that's holding them back. Good o line, good running backs, decent recievers (though somebody really needs to establish themselves as the #2 guy) and that defense is for real.

Hmmmmmmm, a kicker not named doug brien probably wouldn't hurt either....

Raiders 0-3. Moss should start cracking tomorrow. It's coming.
Its their defense. Oakland has, oddly enough, been in every game and their defense has been better than I thought it would be. Penalties are killing the raiders. They are much better than their 0-3 record suggests IMO. Still quite scary, though Im not sold on lamont Jordan's status as a feature NFL back.

That would work great with Dayne. He's got great hands and can power his way for extra yards. If you can throw a ball thru a pinhole, you can get it to Q. He's so tiny, it's probably going to go over his head, and when he catches it, unless he can escape, he's down on contact.

I still think hes the third best back in FF. I would have taken him before Holmes as well. The guy scores TDs and you don't really have to worry about him getting hurt. The last four years he as scored 14, 16, 14, and 16 rushing tds. That will win you some football games, outside of Seatle :)

Whether it goes for long yards or not, it's effective at slowing down blitzes and a strong pass rush. IF Goonther blitzes us a lot I'd like to see a couple tomorrow night!

How careless of me. Sorry. So what? Are we on the same league? And I'm not Alec. I honestly don't know about that guy, but I want him on my side.

Now you raise the stakes. I'm pretty solid, umm...just need some backups...not willing to make a blockbuster trade for Alexander which I suppose you would propose. Edge and Caddilac are doing just fine, altho I could use another WR. How about Harrington and the Cheifs Defense?

cadillac right now has 88 rushing attempts, that pans out to be 469 attempts this season. usually rookies because they go from colleges 11-12 games(and btw cadillac shared duties) to an nfl's 16 games. the pace he is on now is insane for any running back, but for a rookie u just wonder if he's not just going to shutdown at somepoint, hit the wall, blah blah.
