With Iraq disintegrating to civil war, more and more Americans are realizing they were lied to promote Bush's personal war. Republican lawmakers apparently don't have the ethics or morals to hold him responsible for over 20,000 American casualties. Of course, he be impeached by now if he had sex with an intern and lied about that.

Anti-War Protesters March in Washington
By JENNIFER C. KERR, Associated Press Writer 1 hour, 18 minutes ago
WASHINGTON - Opponents of the war in
Iraq marched Saturday in a clamorous day of protest, song and remembrance of the dead, some showing surprisingly diverse political views even as they spoke with one loud voice in wanting U.S. troops home.
The surging crowd, shouting "Bush out now" and "Peace now," marched in front of the White House and then to the Washington Monument in an 11-hour marathon of dissent.
They were young people with green hair, nuns whose anti-war activism dates to Vietnam, parents mourning their children in uniform lost in Iraq, and uncountable families motivated for the first time to protest.
President Bush himself was out of town, monitoring hurricane recovery efforts from Colorado and Texas. The protesters shouted for his impeachment.
"We have to get involved," said Erika McCroskey, 27, who came from Des Moines, Iowa, with her younger sister and mother for her first demonstration, traveling in just one of the buses that poured into the capital from far-flung places.
"Bush Lied, Thousands Died," said one sign. "End the Occupation," said another.

Cindy Sheehan, the California mother who drew thousands of demonstrators to her 26-day vigil outside Bush's Texas ranch last month, won a roar of approval when she took the stage before the Washington march. Her 24-year-old son, Casey, was killed in Iraq last year.
"Shame on you," Sheehan admonished, directing that portion of her remarks to members of Congress who backed Bush on the war. "How many more of other people's children are you willing to sacrifice?
She led the crowd in chanting, "Not one more."
Police Chief Charles H. Ramsey, noting that organizers had hoped to draw 100,000 people, said, "I think they probably hit that."
A few hundred people in a counterdemonstration in support of Bush's Iraq policy lined the protest route near the
FBI building. The two groups shouted at each other, a police line keeping them apart.
Ramsey said the day's protest unfolded peacefully under the heavy police presence. "They're vocal but not violent," he said.
While united against the war, political beliefs varied. Paul Rutherford, 60, of Vandalia, Mich., said he is a Republican who supported Bush in the last election and still does — except for the war.
"President Bush needs to admit he made a mistake in the war and bring the troops home, and let's move on," Rutherford said. His wife, Judy, 58, called the removal of
Saddam Hussein "a noble mission" but said U.S. troops should have left when claims that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction proved unfounded.
"We found that there were none and yet we still stay there and innocent people are dying daily," she said.

Thousands stage anti-war protest in London\
The route took protesters along Whitehall and into Piccadilly before reaching Hyde Park for a rally.
Police said about 10,000 people took part, but Stop The War Coalition said up to 100,000 were protesting.
Families of three British soldiers killed in Iraq addressed the marchers. Police said the event was peaceful and there had been no arrests.
Among the protesters was Sue Smith, of Tamworth, Staffordshire, whose son Phillip Hewett died in July when a roadside bomb exploded under his vehicle near Basra.
Ms Smith delivered a letter to the prime minister urging him to pull British troops out of Iraq.

I saw a bit on C-SPAN and the speaker was haranguing maybe a few dozen people. I don't doubt that more than a few people showed up, but I'd be as skeptical of claims of "100,000" as I was of the claims of the "Million Mom March" buffoons a few years back. Besides, the protestors weren't just anti-war - there was the usual contingent of far-left issues (anti-globalisation, pro-Castro, pro-Chavez, etc., etc.).

Just think - the 17% who still support the disaster monkey and his illegal war must represent about half of the monkey's base!
Only the most hardcore bush zealots (like W*GS) remain on the bandwagon as it hurtles toward the edge of the cliff...

I don't know about the numbers, hard to tell from the overhead photos but the DC police chief seems to think that there were quite a few.

Online polls are worthless, as MSNBC notes on the results page:
"Not a scientifically valid survey."

Not hard to believe that only some die-hard Bush nut sack smoochers are the only ones left who still adore him (all the polls show this).

Why the descent into LABF-ese?
From time to time, you have glimmers of reason and maturity in your posts, and then you dash it all with the above kind of nonsense.
Granted, Bush's support is quite low, and dropping, but nowhere near the 17%-18% range of MSNBC's online (and thus invalid) poll. That's the facts - and no, it doesn't mean I'm a supporter of Bush.

LOL
The poll wasn't about Bush's overall support ratings but his handling of the Iraq invasion. I'd say finding 2 out of ten people on the street who still approve of Bush lying us into war would be a good day for Bush. And yes, those two people would have to be described as Bush nut sack smoochers.

LMFAO at the idea of the author of the following quotes lecturing others about "reason and maturity."
Truth be told, you're less than a smear of **** on toilet paper being flushed out to sea with a million other tons of sewage.
I'd ask you to repeat what you've written to my face, but you're too much the chicken**** to do that. You simply hide in your cyberspace fantasy land, where you think you're the big tough guy. In the real world, you're a submissive little turd.
You stepped over the line, ****-fer-brains. That's the kind of **** pathetic punks like you try to get away with from the safety of cyberspace.
I daresay if you speak and act toward others IRL like you here, you'll be lucky if all you lose is your teeth, ya punk.
The two requirements for LABF to be a biological father (I hesitate to use "parent"):
1) "Mom" is in a coma;
2) Abortion in cases of rape is outlawed.
Without those two necessities, LABF will pass from this world without any offspring, and for that, we can all be grateful.
The only way you're ever gonna have a kid is by raping a mentally-disabled woman whose guardians are ardent pro-lifers.
**** you, prick.
All you've shown with this bull**** of yours is that you're a reprehensible ****wad.
Any claims about how I or others are doing in regards to either are just the bull**** of an ignorant indecent scumbag - i.e., you, LABF.

The WP reports about 200 knuckledraggers are quoted as saying their "voices will be heard" as they are in the "majority." rofl
It was like 150k versus 200. But, had the repugs actually had a majority, then it's doubtful that the minority would have gotten a sentence in the paper. As it was, those 200 got quite a sizeable space.

Indeed - the part about the poll not being scientific is fact that has completely confused you, obviously.

Yeah, yeah. More spin from the OM spinmeister.
Next time you whip out this stuff (and no doubt there will be another time, you've done it several times already) do the honorable thing and provide the context in which those comments were made. I realize that would make you violate the creed you took when you became a "Michael Moore Junior Agitpropper", but do please try.

Looks as though you have been confused by the facts again.
Police Chief Charles H. Ramsey, noting that organizers had hoped to draw 100,000 people, said, "I think they probably hit that."
Protest organizers estimated that 300,000 people participated, triple their original target. D.C. Police Chief Charles H. Ramsey, who walked the march route, said the protesters achieved the goal of 100,000 and probably exceeded it. Asked whether at least 150,000 showed up, the chief said, "That's as good a guess as any.

Im not surprised if they hit that mark. Liberals have always been more vocal about everything. Whoever screams louder is always heard, and the libs are good at screaming.
I just feel bad for Cindy Sheehan. These protests are whats keeping her going. If she didnt have these crazy's by her side all the time, she would die. When all this anti-war protesting passes once they see they are making no headway with the President, they will go back to their jobs and Cindy will become a nothing again.

I will agree that there are some things that he could be doing alot better right now, but I dont think he merits the "worst President ever" label.
