After the drama we witnessed between the Eagles and Falcons last Monday night, the NFL saw to it that it wont happen again.

Now there will be a 10 yard buffer/cushion between teams during warm ups. From this day forward the only players that will be allowed between the 45 yard lines will be the kickers. Any other player entereing this 10 yard buffer zone will possibly be ejected and even fined.

My own personal opinion on this is that the league may be over reacting. I understand the need to maintain peace between the clubs. But I also feel that all teams had a chance to see that if something like that happens, you will lose players for the game.

Because this is not a regular event, I dont feel like it would become one. I felt the refs handled it well and think the NFL should have left it alone. I feel either one of those players ejected would have rather paid a fine than to cost the entire team from getting themselves booted.

What say you?

I say the NFL reacted predictibly and I'm more concerned about the fact that they've juiced the passing game to the point that the NFL is getting to be unrecognizable at times.

But as far as this new buffer rule goes... meh.

Yeah, I agree with ya. I just hate to see the actions of one or two, dictate to the whole group. But am somewhat indifferent other than that.

Meanwhile, the NHL is all set to take the gloves off without a blink. Go figure.

I think they should pick a guy from each team right before the game and have them fight it out instead of flipping a coin for first possession. In overtime they could have two guys from each team in a cage match.

Then we could have the Super Bowl held in a stadium built in the Las Vegas desert called the "Thunderdome" and Tina Turner could be the new commisioner!
