i just have a feeling this is a game where we need to create turnovers and convert them into touchdowns and not fgs. this isnt like the Raiders self destructing with penalties we really need to be able to move the ball on the ground to keep the chiefs D honest.

As of right now the Chiefs have the best run D in the league. Being held to modest numbers wouldn't be a reason to say you have a problem.

Rival fans need to wake up, this is a completely different defense with 5 new starters (when we go out of the 3-4.) We have a top 10 LB unit which will only get better as DJ and Bell get playing time in this scheme.

The Chiefs have a playoff defense now. It's good. We'll all have to wait and see if it's good enough with solid D units like the Bronco's and Chargers though...

We completely shut down Curtis Martin, last years rushing champ. We have the best rushing defense in the league right now.

Shutting down the run is not the problem, we've been unbelievable at tackling backs for no gain or a loss.

So we average 30 pts a game last year, our defense sucked, and we lost.
This year we average around 26 pts a game, our defense is much better, but it's all due to the offense?

That offense sure as hell didn't help our defense last year.

I'm not saying we don't have a weakness, we do. BOTH of our tackles are out. If you blitz the us the way you did the Chargers last week it could be a very long game. Green has a bad habbit of holding on the the ball for too long and is use to having a half an hour to throw. That isn't true any longer.

Chiefs Passing defense statistics are inflated, because teams have to pass on you more then they would like. Which comes from having a lead early. Rams in 1999 run and pass defense got help from fantastic offense. A lead solves alot of defensive deficencies. Broncos ability to run on you will go along way to determine if they win this game or not. Hard for your offense to put up 30 on the board if our offense limits your opportunities.
