I hate this rule. Nice of the NFL to make the refs decide a game, based on a phantom false start or a questionable holding call.

I would guess that this rule will be retained until one of Peyton Manning's O-linemen cost him a game with a penalty. That means that we'll keep this rule forever because Indy O-linemen NEVER hold. Just look back at the first two games of this year and ALL of last year. 12 holds in 18 games. 3 of those holding calls were in the game against Green Bay. Apparently the zebras deferred to the former grandmaster QB in that game. 2 other holds were on special teams or on a WR. Another 2 penalties were in the last 5 minutes when the colts were ahead and merely eating the clock. That leaves FIVE field-position-threatening-O-line holds in 17 games. No wonder the guy lost his happy feet.....

That issue aside....why let the refs decide who wins? This isn't making up for all the crappy defense inhibiting rules they've made in the last two years.
