The Broncos lost 3 games last year by 3 points or less. Two of those by 1 point (Oakland and J'Ville) and the other by three to SD. Win the Oak and SD games and they likely win the division. At the very least they get better playoff seeding.
They also won 3 games by 3 (Carolina, Miami and Tampa) but as you can see, only one was against a conference foe.
In 2003 they lost 2 conference games by a touchdown or less (NE by 4 and KC by 1) games that would have made a huge difference in playoff seeding.
So with a come from behind win on Sunday against a division foe, here's hoping that this year's squad can win those close games this year more than 50% of the time (they are 10-10 in the last 3 years in games decided by a TD or less).
Of course I hope there isn't another close game win the rest of the season but...
